Great vid man. It hurts me as a Peruvian that we aren’t going to the World Cup. But the way we played against you guys, it’s better we didn’t go. Shame and embarrassment is what comes to mind. You illustrated a good point of Peru’s and Latin americas problem: arrogance, lack of discipline. An example could be lazy training or players who they think they’re above the system, ones who go out to party instead of training since they are literally the biggest celebrities in their country. But this problem had been going on for decades, before I was born (i.e 2001). It’s so frustrating it’s enough to make grown men cry. Millions of people support the team constantly and they pull this performance. I understand the pressure is immense but when Peru act the way they do; having fun, arriving late to Qatar, letting the media inflate your ego, it makes me sympathize less. South America has no money compared to Europe, a lot of our leagues are underdeveloped, the youth systems as well. Peru can’t produce talent the way Argentina or France do. But how is it that Ecuador, whose players are not known much for their talent, can perform consistently and secure a spot in the hardest qualifiers? They are disciplined, they hire a good coach to put the team first and if a player should act or say against him, he’s history. I wish Peru could be this way. Maybe they will in time. Maybe they won’t. Maybe things will get worse before they get better. Only time will tell. All the best to Australia in the WC, you’ve earned your spot. And for Peru, please for the love of god, be better than this. Arriba peru carajo
Well, after 36 + years failing to go to the WC and then Gareca came and now this is the second chance to make it... Difficult to say to be "blind" overall
