Rami is so impressive to me. She has real flair and style at such a young age. Technique is mostly a matter of time and practice, but that individuality at 16 is a lot to take in.
Babymonster as a whole have good vocals. I really like the way Rami and Pharita say their lines in Batter Up. Their vocal style is so cool. YG is really good at finding singers with nice vocal tones.
Its such an achievement of rami that she can stand at the level of so many 3rd and 4th gen main vocalist when she just debuted and is 16 years old. Lee mujin was correct when he said rami is a true vocalist cuz more experience doesn't mean more better. Rami's technique range agility precision in her lower range as well as control on her upper register is so impressive knowing that she suffered from pneumotharox few months ago but is able to hit any note and support it. Belting high notes low notes whistle notes head voice to chest voice falsetto and her transitions are great too. She really deserves much more hype. She is the most versatile singer in 5th gen who can suit any genre. Her journey has just begun it's the starting and she has already created history by becoming the first and only non debuted idol to chart on billboard that too under top 10 and now she is the first yg artist to appear on this show
I still to this day believe Liz is one of the most under appreciated vocalists of 4th gen. Her technique is FARR better than people give her credit for. And no, im not gonna cry "mistreatment" and i know for a fact she gets a lot of lines, but I want Liz to have more technically challenging parts IVE's songs.
But liz gets the most challenging parts of their songs most of the time and yes liz is one of the most underrated vocalists in the fourth gen but that mostly stems from the tier list makers dominating the kpop vocal analysis scene with their made up system that is incredibly wrong and not telling of anything.Its a one size fits all situation where they mostly prefer singers who use a more chesty approach

This video is quite a testament to the craft and talent in s.korean music industry... cause on top of that they also can dance and even act in movies and stuff... it is mind blowing and on top of that there are a lot not on the list who are also very good and many s.korean artists have not yet been in this show, so go figure. An on top of that there are singer songwriters in S.Korea who might not be top vocalists like the ones here, but they either write superb songs, or are top instrument players, or are music genius (Jukjae, Henry, Akmu, Yerin Baek ...). And we are just talking about the pop world, but there are also extremely talented artists in the jazz, rock, classical worlds as well. It must be korean water maybe.
The thing about Rami's performance is it has the least amount of post-production editing in it. You can tell because the audio sounds different. Lily's performance also sounds like it's had less editing.
Being just 16 y/o, Rami already entered Billboard top 10 before even debuting. And God her vocals are so versatile. Bloodsucker is just an example of her talent. They way she says "oh please" " all i hear about is me me me" "God you're just a bloodsucker" and those high notes never fails to get me

This song didn't allow his vocal colour to shine, he was also trying to demonstrate the difference between pop singing and musical singing and shortly after this performance he was diagnosed with polyps so his throat wasn't in the best condition. You can only imagine how good he is otherwise. You should definitely explore more of btob. Changsub is only the lead vocalist not the main. And there are two others who are just as good.

Loved how you thoroughly segment and line out details of SOLAR's version of Flowers❤ SOLAR probably went for Flowers with low tones to equalise as she sang Decalcomanie (OT4) by herself which is very strenuous and has high pitch. Additionally Solar's episode of Lee Mujin is the first one with a LIVE CROWD, so she probably was very nervous. Nevertheless she very beautifully interpreted it and sung it apart from the fact that i can blindly trust her with belting❤ Funfact - SOLAR N CHANGSUB are besties ! 91 liner with 3 days apart. PS- from her fan POV i am happy with the ranking cause i know that despite juggling 3 to 4 shows with Musical and Comeback, she took her time out to learn English with proper pronunciation ❤

Liz's voice and technique is so underrated in her generation, her parts are always my favorite in IVE songs, and she has such a wonderful grasp on dynamics and musicality, her voice conveys the emotions of the music as well as the technique behind it. I adore her as a vocalist and i wish people would talk about her more.

Shocked to see Heeseung not on this list, Heeseung covered Crush Sofa, which is technically a very difficult rnb song, there so many different techniques and skills required to sing it and Heeseung did a phenomenal job, even Lee Mujin praised him for it, also his acoustic ver of Tamed-Dased was beautiful not to mention it was high range too

Love this list and the one before as well! My absolute favorite performance on Lee Mujin Service is fromis_9's Hayoung's rendition of Your Dog Loves You. I think it's my favorite because it's a simple song but emotional song accompanied by Hayoung playing the acoustic guitar. Anyone who hasn't seen seen Jiwon & Hayoung's episode, I urge you to watch it! Lee Mujin has since said in an interview that Hayoung was one of his most memorable guests with great live vocals (along with soloist Seori!).

You should check out WayV songs, Xiaojun and Ten often are the ones who get the hardest parts. I suggest WayV Nectar where Xiaojun has a highnote.
Xiaojun and WayV are very underrated. If you have not already, you should listen to On My Youth. I think it is one of their best songs.
WayV is truly underrated. I also love Ten and Kun's vocals, actually everyone on that team has great skills and talents!

SOLAR probably went for Flowers with low tones to equalise as she sang Decalcomanie (OT4) by herself which is very strenuous and has high pitch.
Additionally Solar's episode of Lee Mujin is the first one with a LIVE CROWD, so she probably was very nervous.
Nevertheless she very beautifully interpreted it and sung it apart from the fact that i can blindly trust her with belting❤
Funfact - SOLAR N CHANGSUB are besties ! 91 liner with 3 days apart.
PS- from her fan POV i am happy with the ranking cause i know that despite juggling 3 to 4 shows with Musical and Comeback, she took her time out to learn English with proper pronunciation ❤

(No shade to Le sserafim tho i love them they are my favourite performers of 4th gen gg but i just hope that thr backlash that they received will wake up the companies and make them realise that we want real vocalists)
Liz's voice and technique is so underrated in her generation, her parts are always my favorite in IVE songs, and she has such a wonderful grasp on dynamics and musicality, her voice conveys the emotions of the music as well as the technique behind it. I adore her as a vocalist and i wish people would talk about her more.

Shocked to see Heeseung not on this list, Heeseung covered Crush Sofa, which is technically a very difficult rnb song, there so many different techniques and skills required to sing it and Heeseung did a phenomenal job, even Lee Mujin praised him for it, also his acoustic ver of Tamed-Dased was beautiful not to mention it was high range too

Love this list and the one before as well! My absolute favorite performance on Lee Mujin Service is fromis_9's Hayoung's rendition of Your Dog Loves You. I think it's my favorite because it's a simple song but emotional song accompanied by Hayoung playing the acoustic guitar. Anyone who hasn't seen seen Jiwon & Hayoung's episode, I urge you to watch it! Lee Mujin has since said in an interview that Hayoung was one of his most memorable guests with great live vocals (along with soloist Seori!).
