- I've been using #flywheel training, a @Exxentric #kbox & #kpulley to be exact for 5 years now. Here's a brief explanation of the main benefit (and one of many benefits) I found from using it. #flywheeltraining #eccentric #eccentrictraining #thewongway
This review is spectacular, Thank you so much for doing this! For such a high-end product I wish I could find more testimonials like this! I really want a KBox but I think I am going KPulley2 and then later building a cable attachment and a box and doing Kbox type movement that way, utilizing the KPulley Flywheel.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the note. I really appreciate it. I love my Exxentric gear & can’t proselytize it enough. Yes, you’re only limited by your creativity. Please look up my buddy Stefan Ostling in Sweden on Instagram. He is the most creative person with adapting the kpulley & Kbox to his circumstances. Truly amazing what he’s done.
I have a rhino rogue belt squat. Will this replace my rhino?? Will a kbox satisfy my belt squat needs? I also have many cable machines, isolator, goat, rack, rogue bike and many more equipment. I wonder if it will be worth to get this for my home gym since I already have many equipment. If I get kbox I will sell rhino to make some space however, I don't know if that will be a smart move?? I know I will like how the fly wheel feels for squats since I am not a powerlifter and I do jujitsu, it will be good for muscle endurance, however I can do many other workouts for muscle endurance. I lift 3x week and do jujitsu the same days I lift. On my off days 2x a week I do tabatta and short hits workouts for jujitsu endurance. Deciding to add my rhino to a rack to save some space or just sell rhino and buy kbox😳😳
Thanks for watching. I tell people the Kbox is the one piece of equipment I have that I can’t live without. I’m an explosive power athlete, much like Jujitsu. I lift for explosive power & speed, not just for absolute strength. The faster you spin the flywheel & slow it down is all about power. Flywheel training allows me to work on both the concentric & especially the eccentric contractions. Traditional Weights can’t do that easily. I’d imagine jujitsu requires a lot of eccentric strength. For Isometric it’s possible also especially in the locked position.
Will great video. I hadn't thought about the changing the load on the fly in that way. It's a major advantage from efficiency standpoint. I also moved on from barbell (and specialty bars) to the flywheel although I haven't yet got into the kmeter as I am not a data guy. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you!! Glad you like your Kbox. It’s really hard to describe to people who’ve never used flywheel training. I honestly didn’t quite understand it beforehand but quickly realized how advantageous it is once I used it.
@@wkwong80 I gotta try your split squat setup. I have been doing a lot of step ups with Kbox Hatfield style.
I am not as sold on the Kpulley yet with exception of rotational work where it excels
The kpulley is a luxury. If you’re creative with placement, a Kbox is enough.
Is there some easy way to calculate the inertia to weights?
Definitely. The app calculates the power into watts. Much higher granularity than you’re probably used to.
the Problem, as it appears,, is to simulate a higher load,,, you have to speed up. Not ideal.
You can just take more & larger flywheel plates. That’s added resistance at the same speed.
Fritz, you’re exactly correct.
@@wkwong80 so, If I wanted to say squat the equivalent of 300 lbs with say 5-10 reps at six seconds a rep,, is that possible?
At that slow of a speed, unfortunately that wouldn’t be possible.
Hi, what size harness are you wearing?
I have a 30” waist so I’m guessing it’s at least the Small though it’s possibly the Medium. I’ve had it since 2017 & frankly not 100% sure anymore.
