Hey Molly, I served in the military for quite a few years and saw alot of northern Australia during the many years of training and operations. I don't think people realize how vast and beautiful Australia is an the endless horizons of pure flatness that is visible that you show with alot of your drone footage. The red soils, the azure seas and feelings of isolation watching the amazing sunsets, Thankyou for re-awakening long forgotten memories Molly, safe travels throughout this journey and life. Take care.
Thank you for taking us along and letting us Know all the things that you need to do on each trip. You seem to know your limitations, And as long as you stick to them you don't get yourself into trouble. Wonderful life lessons you can learn while you traveling, Thank you for sharing them with us!
Hi Molly. I'm always amazed at how red the soil is in AUS. I spent some years in South Africa in the late 70's and the dirt was the same color from the high iron content. That red dust got EVERYWHERE! I hope you think about writing a book about your travels and life lessons learned when you decide it's time to come in off the road. The chapter with Sunny would be a hoot! Thank you for the sunsets!
Excellent advice on the bag in the sun trick for a shower. Just hang it off the side of the tent would work too. Careful it's not too hot!!! Oh...... another beautiful Molly video too. Thank you!! A shovel is incredibly important too
Another great 10-15 min vacation sponsored by Molly. Heed her advice about making sure you get back to camp before dark. Lol. Once I arrived at my campsite and a bunch of us decided to go hiking. Its a real pain in the b*tt trying to find your campsite in the dark. No camping for me this weekend. Vehicle maintenance.
i am a kiwi, but lived most of my life in the us plan on moving to aussie within 2 years. any regrets or advice? have you had to adjust to the different lifestyle? i live in montana btw.. thanks! laine
Molly, do you have a video where you talk about the *camera gear* you make your RUclips clips with? Is everything mostly filmed on an iPhone, plus a drone? What sort of drone? What editing software or editing techniques do you use? I really like the way modern drones can track you and film you when you drive or walk along!
ths is awsome Molly im going to be watching your journey so glad i came across your channel so inspiring for 52 year old who lives with his mum and dad
You are an awesome woman enjoying what you love! Thanks for showing us the ropes on what it takes to do this kind of adventure.Beautiful County you live in.🙏💕
You should get a black 20lt. water bottle and a 12 volt shower ... It only takes about 20 mins. next to a fire to warm it up...plus you'll have more emergency water... ❤
Hey Molly, Another great place to stay is at Showgrounds, cost around $30 per night power, water, showers and laundry Hope this helps you, your new canopy looks awesome, safe travels
pretty cool vid - I sometimes daydream of doing something like this on my train commute to work to see this vast land of ours. Definitely on the bucket list of things to do!
Hope your vehicle is very well serviced and you have comms out there. I served in the Australian army out in some of those places, and it is literally some of the most inhospitable places on earth.
Hey Molly we have a camp boss rechargeable shower head that you just drop the suction end in a 20litre bucket and your all good for a shower. Love your work. Cheers mate 👍 🐕 🤠
Hi Molly. I love your video's and keep them coming. I love Australia 🦘. It looks so nice there. You are a beautiful young lady ❤️😊❤. Stay safe. I'm from the USA.❤❤❤😊.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I am a Man of 53 years, and I’m not as brave to travel alone as you are. I’d love to know more as I’m hoping to travel the country very soon. I’d ideally love to find some kind of online work or something so I can fund my travels.
we have a $25 shower head hose thingy with a pump and adjustable shower spray that you drop in a bucket. My wife and I find 5 liters can do both of us, boil a kettle 2.5L add 2.5L cold water and you have a shower bucket. you can get these cheap nifty roof rack shower curtain things.
Hey there Molly I've been watching your ongoing adventures when I can, your vid's are great, your vehicle upgrades are amazing, you are a strong and capable lady to do this and I'll continue watching your fantastic travel + adventures. Goodnight , 🛌
Howdy Molly! Wow what a sunset! Do you carry extra fuel as well? Also road flares make great emergency fire starter if it’s raining…be safe and thanks for sharing! You are our fave Aussie for sure! 🤠🇺🇸🇨🇱🥃
Wow,, beautiful scenery, makes one want to get in our 2002 AU series 3 Ford Falcon station wagon and head there. My dad made several trips in the mid 1970's through the magical outback in a 1963 Ford Falcon Futura, Roads go on arrow straight to the horizon, one can in places see the curvature of the earth.
Great video, you really know how to nail the videography, the colours and scenery are a highlight of each video. The infectious smile works well too, keep up the good work
It's how I usually count expenses. Sometimes they get stuck in a mud, because rain water drainage is not fixed in the outer banks and bicycle road gets flooded after winter by a river.
Thanks for sharing Molly! You have your routine down now and a pretty swanky set up. You have come a long way from your first vid! Props to you! You put a plan in place and made it work. Excited to see what new additions you have coming! Beautiful sunset by the way. You spoil us now every vid with a great sunset. They seem to get better and better. Until the next vid stay safe!
hello molly great video.🤯 i was at this beach behind broom for a few days in 2017, beautiful! and nice and quiet. i love it. i'm looking forward to the gib video, i couldn't drive it all the way in may 2017 because it was closed due to flooding. I'm looking forward to. Peter from Germany👋👍
ASs a grey nomad travelling around in my Paradise Motorhome I've enjoyed your presentation. There's no doubt about it our great outdoors has a lot to offer. Exploring and adventure is endless, it's certainly life changing if you prepare, understand risks, appreciate costs but more over just get out there and enjoy every day remembering your safety comes first. I'm a trekker and I have a back pack with all sorts of fir staid goodies especially a PLB (personal location beacon). One never knows we may cross paths in our great outdoors. Thank you for you most interesting presentation.
Hi, Molly Dixon. Thank you for the rundown on your travelling expenses, much appreciated. I have a diesel Mitsubishi Triton set up as a camper and plan to become a 'person of no fixed abode' in the near future. Just my 0.02. You have a wonderful day. best wishes. Deas Plant.
I hope you have an EPIRB because they can save your life in an emergency. I would not travel through outback Australia without one simply due to how vast the distances can be.
WOW Molly thank you for sharing a other fantastic video. I would love to travel around like you do it would be so cool. I like your idea on the Roof top tent bull bar winch and max tracks definitely a must it ain’t fun getting bogged and there is no one to help you. So looking forward to next Sunday for your next adventure
Hi Molly - i've travelled on the Eastern side of Oz, mainly snakes are okay, if you don't upset them, kangaroos aren't always friendly if never, bull crocodiles ain't trusted in the northern most parts of oz and sand flies ain't a friend so do use - Aero-guard - just as a good bush ranger would - cheers
Driving a pickup truck fitting a rack for smaller motocross bike 125-250cc. The bike would get you out of any situation if the car break down get stuck or out of gas or flat tire’s. Just on load the bike and drive with the bike to town for help or spare parts. Whit a light weight 125cc motocross you can pull it out and lead it with motor assistance on foot if road conditions are almost impossible mud sand rocks. All you need for the bike is two 5L spare cans of gasoline and 1-L of two stroke oil which will get far distances from the broken car.
My Ute setup is ready for me to go travelling, I’m doing some close to home locations this year in South West Victoria, and heading up the West coast of Australia next year.
Have you ever considered buying a gold pan and snuffer bottle? Pretty much everywhere you are visiting has gold. All of those remote rivers would be perfect to try. I’m sure it would be worth the effort.
Hi Molly... I have a friend in Australia ..Vernon we video chat alot. He lives on the island off of the main land. I have been watching your videos I love the beautiful country 😊
Thanks Molly , found this episode very informative. always been curious about how people can finance their travels. get to insight into your setup also. I was just wondering what UHF setup you have or recommend. thanks, chookie. I really appreciate you sharing your journey with us.
Molly ....try to buy diesel in bulk when much cheaper..you may not know this with diesel it doesn't go off ...like petrol you can buy an additive for diesel to keep easily upto 10 years etc ...then cart around say 20 - 30 litres or more just for a safety net . Also a satellite phone if no towers about ,satellite phones work every where on most of earth minus north pole and so on .. other than that enjoy 🇦🇺 ..
I am sure you must have sat communication or at least a Spot X or Garmin or similar device to enable you to get assistance in case of emergency and or keep in touch with relies... personally the most crucial aspect of a remote trip is, communication aside, money set aside or having an insurance which provide recovery in case of a major break down.... I've done some remote trips, having everything set up, but the $$$ for major recovery... we all know well..., a remote recovery could cost up to 10-15k...
Not only does your travels reduce stress, your voice, tone is equally soothing. My wife thinks I'm nuts to travel Australia with you but I like it. Thank you Ms Dixon for allowing me and others to travel with you, spiritually.
I would love to, but my mode of transport is a 2016 VW Polo, VERY economical on fuel and recently had some major repairs done to it. I am also middle aged with low finances. :(
Thanks Molly, what an experiance your having and we are greatfull of being able to share some of it. Given all the rads seem to be dirt would you recomend 4x4?
Good afternoon Molly. Thank you for the update on your expenses, setup, how you got started, vehicle type along with everything else you covered in this video. It's great to see your beautiful, bubbly self telling us something new so often. Have a great week, keep living your dream, stay safe and we will see you on the next one.
One day my daughter, all dressed up to go out, said she had a flat on her Outlander. So I gave her a jack and tools and told her to do it. I did watch and check after. I was happy knowing she wouldn't have to trust a stranger or RS.
From my and my sons knowledge and experience you need two more things. A3g/4g range extending antenna and an EPIRB. The latter because you will not be let into some remote nature reserves and parks without one
This is cool- The amount of ppl who "travel the world" and have never even gone interstate within Australia is astonishing... Keep it up fam, content is fire! yew!

Should invest in a GME PLB when travelling remote and alone. Sometimes uhf can fail. Cheap insurance if things do go as planned! Great video!
