As a passive aggressive sound tech, I enjoy keeping a whole band waiting while I mess around switching modes on the X32. Whenever the fader banks jump, their eyes glaze over, it's like a high-tech hypnotic gesture. They stop talking, they don't dare touch anything, they stand back respectfully until I'm done. It's little moments like this that make the gig worthwhile.

I'm having a problem on my behringer x32. If I open the monitor bus, the volume takes effect on the main mix. What can I do to separate the monitor level and the main level?

Absolutely Jed! You can link two BUS OUTPUT Channels for monitoring in Stereo.

I, as a lead singer, and the bassplayer, who sings backing vocals, are using the same effects in our monitor mixes. The bassplayer doesn't want as much of my vocal in his monitor as I want in mine, so I turn my vocal down in his monitor. What happens is the effects are still at the same level and only the dry signal gets turned down, and the sound of my voice gets muddy. Is there any way to get around this problem?

My X32 Producer needs to be configured to have the left side 8 channels for inputs to my DAW (ProTools 2019) and the right side 8 channels coming from the DAW back into the X32. Once I get that information, I'd like to know how to set up separate headphone mixes for a vocalist, a guitarist, and a drummer. Or for three separate vocalists. All the instructions I/ve seen have a different X32 than the one I see on my board, as well as an X32 with more channel strips on each side. Where can I get help with doing this? I'd pay to have someone come here and show me - or FaceTime with a one on one to accomplish this. Thank you very much.

Ok. Got that. ! But what if one of the vocalist or guitar has too much of low frequency in my monitor wedge? How can I control the eq of that particular Chanel going to the wedge. Is that possible. ??

aaronarangua Simply click on the buss channel that corresponds to the wedge and press the view eq button. You can EQ any wedge to what ever parameters you desire. ;)

aaronarangua Every channel has an equalizer which can be used for mixing monitors if you decide to tap the signal after the eq section. However, this equalizer will affect the signal going to every mixbus the same way. The mix buses offer equalizing options as well, so you could cut off some low end in one of the monitors. If you want to send, let's say, a "fat" guitar and a "thin" guitar to individual monitors, you would have to set up two differently equalized guitar channels using the same input, which is totally possible on a digital mixer like the X32.

I think that's possible with the P-16M personal monitoring system.

+rufus whitfield You will need to set up your monitor mix buses as pre-fader sends.
