my derm suggested me the same thing.. but the gel made my skim soo dry and peeling and looking at it feels like it triggered my fungal acne even more amd made my skin really textured. So did you experience something like that too at the beginning of using the gel? and how long did it take for you to see improvements?
unfortunately i don’t think you can do anything for purging. maybe dilute niacinamide with squalane or use lower percentage of niacinamide like 5% because how long you skin takes to get used to the product is not in your hand. it can be 2-3 days, 3-4 weeks.. or even more. if the purging continues visit a dermatologist or stop using it at all, might not suit your skin (:

You can use the Garnier Miceller water- pink bottle. It is fungal acne safe. I've been using it and it doesn't cause me any fungal acne.
