There's NO NEED to study anything related to science prior to medical school. The requirements do not change. If you're an Arts major (for instance), all you need is to get the requirements just as if your major was in Nursing. One more thing: not all medical schools in Canada require students to GRADUATE in any other Bachelor's program. Basically the requirements for some schools can be fulfilled without graduating.

    Hi Ada!
Thank you so much for making this amazing video and enlightening people. Although allow my to add that some med schools in Ontario, Canada accept international students. I’m currently an international student studying my Bachelors at McMaster with the hope of applying to med next cycle. I know a bunch of international students who did their Bachelor degree in Canada and are currently in med school here without having PR or citizenship.
The schools that accept international students include: University of Toronto, McMaster University and Queens University all in Ontario, Canada. Yes, the process is still very competitive but it’s not impossible with hard work.

Med school in Europe takes on average 6 years + residency ☺️ hance why you don't need to have a prior degree. Furthermore, you are required have attended a certain number of hours ( usually at least your final two years of highschool) in science relates to classes such as chemistry, physics, biology and math. There are universities that allow you to apply without it, but it's a very small number.

Yes. You can apply to med school with any degree as a Canadian. For a nursing background, you’d probably need biochemistry, chemistry, physics as extra if you don’t have those.
