Relive great moments from the history of Magic event coverage. For more clips, check out Brian David-Marshall's column on DailyMTG.com: www.wizards.com...
You count the opponents hand size, lets say 3, then he puts those cards on top of his deck and then you look for 3 cards in his deck and put them in your opponent's hand.
I think its the "the cards" and "the player" that's throwing me. Its not clear when you're reading it who "the player" is! I get it now you've explained it but man that's a confusing card. Thanks.
dude they actually cut like 5+ minutes of nassif just sitting there thinking about it hahahahahaha.
Yeah that's like the point of the video lol.
This is by far the greatest use of a negate that I have ever seen. Nassif was a god in this moment, he played perfectly.
Bro LSV and Nassif have come such a long way
It's a mechanic from Lowryn called Hideaway.
I love how ahead LSV always is.
Facts. He's lightyears ahead of everyone in the calculations.
If you havent seen this full match, look it up now. It is the 2008 pro tour Kyoto finals, and is probably the best match of magic ever played.
Not anymore
@@sempre8135 The called shot in the semi-finals was a hell of a moment though!
I remember being at this tournament. I went to go pee when I came back Gab was still thinking.
2009 Kyoto
A young Rich Hagon in the background.
I've read the gatherer entry but I can't quite wrap my head around it... What exactly does Head Games do?
Yes I am responding to a 7 year old comment. You get to tutor their hand from cards in their deck.
How did Scott-Vargas gain 11 life at 3:54?
He didn't. He lost 3, from 15 to 12. The jump from 1 to 12 was due to the stream manager typing it in.
That guy looks like the crazy dude that helped the joker in the dark knight
It's like modern masters constructed, but with mox.
WIZARDS KEEP'EM COMING!
Which pro tour is this from?
10 year old comment, but responding all the same. This is the finals of Pro Tour Kyoto.
@@LucianDevine 10 years later I finally know...Thanks man!
@@jocko774 It's worth going back to watch actually. Nasif has one of the most legendary plays of all time in the quarter-finals.

When LSV was chubby lol
He is chubby again.
kyoto
you bascially get to pick what cards your opponent has in his hand
New hand of self destructive/ irrelevant spells or 7 lands.
standard

And mutavault. I don't get it.
The REAL head games were in the final game of this match, aka not this video lol
Are they hiding cards from their hands under their lands? That kind of confused me
It's called Hideaway from Lowryn set.
