I’m 55 and I know I’m terribly sentimental, this brought tears to my eyes. So brave to commit to this project, it really is all or nothing! My daughter wants me to make her wedding dress.. maybe it’s possible after all! ❤

Love your dress! Congratulations! Definitely no mean feat! My daughter told me that I was to make her wedding dress and promptly produced a picture. It was also a project of love and pride. Knowing she would trust me to produce a garment that was fitting for the occasion. I pulled out all of the stops and certainly pushed the envelope as they say! Needless to say, she loved it! And was the success that we both hoped it would be.

Beautiful work! You handled it so much better than I did; I panicked, procrastinated by making all my other projects first, and then stayed up all night before the wedding finishing after my sister pinned the bodice pleats on me. But we did it, and it's such a great experience to do your own dress.

My seamstress pulled my wedding dress up because I wanted to keep the lace at the bottom that was part of the skirt and it bunched up at the zipper end so we decided to put a big bow at that bunching area to cover it. I’ve seen wedding dresses since with big bows on the butt area. This was almost thirty years ago
Beautiful looks stunning on you in reguards to the pleats did u just put some odd stitches here and there to stitch them down I've been doing my daughters prom dress and found that I can get the pleats as o want them with it on the form but wen I remove it to sew it they shift
