To the people upset about her “destroying” the original design in the shorts, the original was not well made. It’s not a valuable vintage piece. If she didn’t upcycle it, it would have ended in a landfill.
@@KianaBonolloIT IS YOUR WEDDING DRESS SO YOU GET TO CALL ALL OF THE SHOTS. You look gorgeous in it and the fact you personally made it your own makes it all the more special
I actually love that you took an old dress and made it fashionable bc throughout history, people couldn’t afford to buy new outfits as the fashion trends changed so they would just redesign old garments to fit the stylish new look
Except she actively destroyed someone’s history. Not to mention she’s not hurting for money. She could have bought a cheaper new dress and done the exact same thing. It’s sad to see a beautiful piece ripped up for the sake of fashion.

@@evelynhronec452 you don’t even know that. I know many people who have whole collections of vintage wedding dresses. You’re just spewing crap out of your mouth to justify what she did. Kiana, I think you shouldn't worry as much about other people's opinions on your creative liberty. Sure, you're a content creator but at the end of the day, it is your dress! Anyways, I think a cool video/series idea would be how to create a capsule wardrobe and then you could make vlogs of you making each piece and then a final styling video or something!
Love how it turned out! The changes you made to the top fit so well with the skirt! Also love the music you used in this video! Kiki Bridgerton for sure!
I liked it better without the corset. The lace really looks nice. Totally surprised by the terrible construction of the dress. Must have been mass produced. Loved watching you upcycle this dress.
Listen I believe in you... but my expectations weren't very high when I seen the short...oh my GOD girl this turned out so beautiful! I'm not going to lie I really wanted something different but this time the neckline and sleeves were the PERFECT change
Well she broke up with her then fiance. And she was able to do this project with her wedding dress only after she healed from that relationship loss. So, that's, why I consider it a healing dress heh 😅...
It turned out so gorgeous! Absolutely love it. The only thing I would change is the shade of white of the corset, I think it would be even better if it matched with the dress, or even if you added some colourful embroidery. I love that it's two dresses in one!
It was a stained, badly made, 1970s, mass made dress. She took it and made a silk purse out of a sows ear. I used to buy dresses like this for my children’s dress up box and they got trashed. Now it has a new life. Beautiful. I would LOVE to see it dyed a beautiful colour after the wedding….
What a wonderful creative way to reuse fabric and make it new. I used a very similar pattern when I made my wedding dress in 1972, way before Bridgerton, it’s a classic style.
Loveeee how it turned out! The shape is gorgeous. For the lace trim, I think you could totally sew it to the bottom of the corset for a cute lil mini peplum shaping vibe
here is the thing:if you're making your own wedding dress or wedding suit, cake or ordering those things-as long as you're comfortable and love that style/taste you don't need to take risks on your big day! i don't want to wear a dress that is completely out of my comfort zone on my wedding day and regretting that style in 30 years or a even a month
It looks very 1960s (without the corse)! I was a little apprehensive about you "destroying" a '70s dress, but you took a poorly constructed dress and *elevated* it beautifully!
I cant believe people are angry about upcycling now?? 😭 The dress looks great, and now itll actually be worn instead of being thrown in a landfill... Idk what people could possibly be mad about.
Kiki Bridgerton ❤ Love how your dress turned out! Best wishes for your wedding! The flounces on the skirt and sleeves look great! Side note, immediately after you said "Look at my braids, I'm gonna get in my tractor" RUclips gave me an ad for a farming game!

Just come across your stream and had to look at what you did with a (let’s face it, not very nice) outdated dress from a thrift store. And you aced it! I doubt many people would have looked at that dress and thought they could do anything with it and paying $50 for it - it could have been a complete waste of money. I think I would have given up when I saw those dreadful seams and darts!! The 1970s have a lot to answer for but I don’t think I ever saw anything quite that bad - and it was probably quite expensive at the time.
