Hi there! I’m starting to get into leather crafting and I’m looking for some sort of wood burning tool such as this one. I can see that this is the Walnut Hollow branding tool. Have you had any trouble with it at all? I’ve seen some of the low star reviews regarding the nibs and I wanted to see if you’ve had any trouble of any kind with this specific brand. Thank you and God bless!
This is one of the more reliable, solid point burners. I have had nibs bend and break off inside them, but that’s more a user issue. Many of the other problems that I’ve had with other brands I do not have with this brand. Just remember to keep it light on the pressure, low on the heat, and slow movements until you get your technique down. On leather, you will not need it as hot as you do with wood. If you decide to get one, I can get you a discount 🤑 at this link when you use coupon code SAVVY: www.bearwood.com/product8348.html?aff=14 Or you can get them on Amazon here: amzn.to/48TFKqL
