After 20 videos about the Z6II, finally someone that explain it's functionality easily, directly without making the video as complicated as the camera. Thank you
Some excellent points in this video. I have a Z6 II but haver done little or no night photography to speak of. This autumn I am going to endeavour to get out and do some.
Amazing tutorial, having just bought aZ6ii getting to know the menus was taking time, this has made it so simple and shows the camera can do things I need. Fantastic and Thank You.
omg, I just learned about the extended time option, that is amazing! lol I had to grab my camera right away when you mentioned it..mind was blown. thanks!
Thanks for the video upload, great watching it. I knew it would be good, talking about astrophotography when Will Riker from Star Trek TNG came on to present it! Uncanny!! I think I'm repeating what others have said, but thanks for your clarity and really explaining things properly and simply.
Fantastic tutorial! Thank you so much. I have just gotten a z6 and love Astro and nightscapes so I’ll be heading right over to your videos on night photography! Thanks again. ❤️🇦🇺
I'm so glad I discovered your Tutrorial I have the same set-up!... Nikon Z6ii with the Sigma 20mm 1.8 Art Lens..Couple of questions ONE: for the first part of setting up; getting your focus, do you switch off the MF momentarily to AFS to use the auto focus first to get close to your focus object then back to MF when finer tuning the focus? TWO : do you use AF area mode single or wide?..And Three: what is your White Balance setting ? I have A1when I bring up the 'i" button .I notice you have A as well as A1.Thank you for your clear explanations and perfect speech
I only use MF at night, I don't ues AF first then tune. I mostly use wide, just single when I need to use it, then I put it back. I don't use Auto White Balance for daylight, I use the other Auto White Balance. Thank you!
If you use touch shutter can you eliminate the remote shutter ? Also are there any benefits to using nd filters at night when shooting the Milkyway say? Your channel is awesome I just stumbled across …thanks so much. Your explanations are so easy to follow along with.
Hi Chris thanks for making this video I’m looking forward in trying out my first time lapse soo on my z6ii, quick question how long will the battery last for if I say did a 44 minute time lapse thanks
I am planning to buy Nikon Z6ii or Z7ii with the lenses 24-200mm and 24-70mm f4. But I am undecided which camera will good for me. I am interested in night street photography. Which camera and lenses do you recommend? Thank you in advance for your kind response.
The Z6ii is less and pretty close to being as good as the z7ii but not enough to notice. So the Z6ii is better IMO. The 24mm - 70mm would be great for night shots with a tripod, but if no tripod then consider a prime lens like this. It's small and light too. amzn.to/3GNYw6t
Hey Chris your non-vision setting I find very interesting, however, nothing changes at all on the display even if I change the ISO to High 2.0. I have Live View on. Can you help me further ?
@@attrell Yea just noticed I'm using the nikon nikor z 24-50 f/4 -6.3 lens 🙈 1st ever camera so all new to me lol I've ordered that nikon lens you had in the links reviews are very positive

Yes you can eliminate that. No an ND filter will make the image darker, we need to shoot this fast and let in maximum amount of light. And thank you!
@@attrell …went out last night, fantastic results, perfect conditions too.
Hi Chris thanks for making this video I’m looking forward in trying out my first time lapse soo on my z6ii, quick question how long will the battery last for if I say did a 44 minute time lapse thanks
44 mins should be fine if it is not cold out. I can do about 2-3 hours at night.
@@attrell ok cheers for that
Beautiful video and great explanation ❤
Glad you liked it!
I really enjoyed your video and it has given me some ideas to try - thanks
Awesome! Thank you!
I didn't think Peter Jackson needed help for photography... ;-)
Thanks, Chris. Very useful!
Very welcome!

Hi! Thanks for the good advices! One question: after TIME-Mode there is a mode x200. What does that mean? thanks.
That is for camera flash
Thank you so much!!!!
Amazing, I watched many videos but non its good as this Video

Very interesting vidéo, thank you !
Thank you too!
@@attrell What lens are you using yourself ? Sorry if you said it in the video, I missed it.
Do you recommend z6ii or z7ii for astrophotography?
Z6ii, it is just as good

Hey Chris your non-vision setting I find very interesting, however, nothing changes at all on the display even if I change the ISO to High 2.0. I have Live View on.

If you are using the kit lens, the moon must be bright. If you are using a lens with aperture f/2 or wider, it works remarkably anytime.
@@attrell I have the 24-70 2.8 - which I don't understand why the display shows exactly the same whether I set ISO 1000 or High ISO 2.0
The Nikon Z6 ii kit lens only goes up to f/4, the 24-70mm.
Tripod recommendation?
Manfrotto Befree
@@attrell Thank you sir!!!!!
What about White Balance???
Strange my z6ii will only let me go as low as f4 for my aperture.
It's the lens! But with the z6ii f4 is still amazing!

I can't seem to find the histogram on Z6ii camera.
Press the Display button until you get the screen with histogram.
On my Z50 it's on the monitor screen, but I found it on the Z6ii.
Thanks,but I found it.
You should deactivate the camera's anti-vibration for night shots, but you haven't.
Bro you just cost me $1,500
You'll love it!
You’re late. Your content is available a lot on YT. YOU showed nothing new. Therefore 👎
Thank you!
