@@simonbergman5970 yes yes so cool! Imagine the cost of renting this place 20 days plus! And all the drivers, mechanics etc. But great commercial for Saab! 😍
@@PSB-900 Same length? Only in Swedish? I am hunting VHS tapes have found a few on local ebay and just have to digitalise them :) So hopefully more videos coming from the older times.
I have no idea why and can´t describe but I have not felt this happy in a long time. This video just shows, why Saab has the community it has. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Driven those 9000s during Saab's "Arctic Winter Drive" in Luleå on a frozen lake, we started with 7 factory cars and ended with just 4, two collided and one had drivetrain issues after crashing into an icewall. These cars took a beating but proved incredibly strong. In the end, these cars went back to the factory to end their lives as crash test vehicles, helping to make new models even safer.
Average speed was 212kmh, just slightly below their top speed. When they were out on the track, it was full throttle to the max speed, average was lower because they had to do pit stops.
@@MMSaabChannel Magneti Marelli was not exactly a byword for quality. I remember having one of these Saabs on test drive, getting in the car at 5am with the thermometer reading -29C. By the time I got to work at Helsinki-Vantaa airport it was -36C. Saab and Volvo knew how to make cars for harsh winter conditions.
My 9-5 Aero has broken down after 300000 km. With the engine from the 9000 it could have go on forever.... Sadly these new engines were not that reliable.
05:51 5000 kilometers 3100 miles. Sorry about this.
Goosebumps!!! I love this brand! I grew up with Saab! Finally I owned one! 🎉
The quality of production is to be proud of!
This is the sort of thing that makes Saab my favourite brand. Just flat out, showing who is boss of the automotive world.

Yes, same here. Have driven Saab for over 20 years now. Endless cars.
Not many car can go 5000 km! My Dodge Challenger 1971 did not!
9000 was a great car!
I think I may still have a VHS copy of this stored away in my basement!

Thanks for putting this up, never saw full version of this before.
Amazing performance forever💪🏻👌
A whole movie could be made about this story 💪🏻
@@ArseniyGolubevBSQ yes imagine with a movie camera the quality of video 😍😍
Yes that would be epic!
The first generation 9000 turbo with the 5 speed manual gearbox is by far my favorite Saab ever made
17:28 The sign painter did amazing job, also he seems to be impressed by the Saabs, car with this reliability was not common in those days.
Astonishing that I hadn't seen this advertised at the time. It's a remarkable achievement. Average speeds! What top speeds were they reaching?

🏁🏁🏁🎬👍
Is it from this soundtrack that Denmark got the inspiration for their Euro 92-theme "Vi er røde, Vi er hvide"?
Wrong side of the bridge to know that answer ;)
The Öresund bridge?
Saab, Volvo and Toyota word best car if you drive lot.
👍🇵🇱
i am in yyuour walls
Hazard a guess how far their sister cars Fiat Croma, Lancia Thema or Alfa Romeo 164 would have made it?
@@jackdoe3889 that would have been very interesting.

As far as I can remember, it is the same engine that came from Fiat
