When I was 10-13 I watched WRC religiously. In the USA it was on speedvision or whatever it was called prior to the name changed. I was absolutely obsessed. I ended up buying a lancer evo 2 gsr a couple years ago
It’s great to be able to go back and watch this footage. Absolute mad lads behind the wheel. No real aero, old school diffs. BEST PART is these cars were TRUE HOMOLOGATION cars.
IMO this was peak Motorsport. Everything since is a sorry excuse.
I just got an Evo 1 GSR, 92 Model year at 16 years old, I worked for it.
The Group A Cars are all cool at in every waY, amazing cars
But my dream cars are the Evo 1-3, and I’ve always liked Mitsu with the VR4 and Evo
Feels amazing to have my dream car at a young age, clean with 77k miles
And it feels great to return to a simpler time and see YOUR car race

Un technicien de chez Pirelli avait dit, deux ans après la fin du groupe B, que les groupe A étaient déjà plus rapides de 2 secondes au km en moyenne.
C'est dire la qualité de ces machines ici, personnellement, je les trouve vraiment belles et rapides.

Crec que la salut dels Grup A es va salvar gràcies a que no eren tan ràpids(insegurs/bèsties) com els Grup B, no per que fèssin millores a la seguretat dels trams.

Habían dos ceremonias de salida en el Montecarlo por aquellos tiempos?
Salida propiamente dicha sólo había una, la de la ciudad que habías elegido, y tras hacer el recorrido de concentración, cada equipo desde el país elegido, si el rally se reagrupaba en Mónaco, allí hacían otro podium para salir al recorrido común y también al día siguiente para la noche del Turini. (no se si me he explicado bien)
