Una de las mejores temporadas del WRC, por la variedad de equipos oficiales y de pilotos top. Tuve la suerte de ir a verlos en vivo en la temporada 2001 y 2002 al Super Especial del Complejo Pro-Racing en Carlos Paz, Provincia de Córdoba, Argentina y luego en 2013, al tramo Ascochinga - Agua de Oro, cuando se despidió Loeb. No me lo olvido más 🙌🏻🥲❤
Justo el pasado viernes me vino mi maqueta del Skoda Octavia WRC a escala 1:18 que tenía reservado. Que gran época, lo hecho de menos. Tuve la ocasión de ver algunos de estos en persona competir por los rallyes de Euskadi(Escort WRC, Córdoba, 206,307,Evo 7 WRC, Octavia, Impreza, etc... ) , cuando los WRC también participaban en los rallyes regionales y nacionales . Han pasado 21 años desde que se grabó este rally, pero, los coches me siguen pareciendo nuevos!!!

It's unjust how Subaru and Mitsubishi were the only ones who actually made cars somewhat mechanically similar to rally cars, while Citroen, Ford and Peugeot were making totally rubbish low cost front wheel drive trash, yet they were winning because that money they saved on customers went into marketing, and partly into rallying. Introduction of WRC class in place of A8 was a criminal move by FIA.
@@Raudiboy7 fewer and fewer kilometers of special stages, fewer car manufacturers, more astronomical costs, cars with the same sound, private pilots who have disappeared in the world championship in the premier class compared to 20/30 years ago. road towards the electric world makes everything even more disgusting.

I grew up in this era of WRC. The early to mid 2000s had some great racing. I was lucky to watch WRC on the Speed Channel here in the USA. I miss it.
Subaru, Mitsubishi, Ford, Skoda, Hyundai, Peugeot, Citroen, all in the top flight of rallying.... what a time to be alive!!!

it made for good racing while it lasted. until 2006. since then we've been down to 2-4 manufacturers.
