I never used that lens myself, but it is very affordable and has a fast f/1.8 aperture which is great for lower light situations and for portraits, because you can get some nice background blur. It is more limiting, because it is only 50mm, but that style of lens does have a purpose. For versatility it is not as good, but for a portrait style shot I would much prefer the 50mm f/1.8 lens as an example...

Do we plug in the USB cable to theSOny ZV1 and to the Laptop Thinkpad and it comes on and shows you the files on the screen of the laptop? Do you click on 'G' drive on the laptop to put the downloaded photos there? ( I am not referring to this cannon camera you are showing here, but the SONY ZV1 camera we have llike the one you showcased in vieos and how to use it. I am typing this question HERE so you SEE IT and can help US, PLEASE! THANK YOU ASAP!
You can connect the USB cable to the camera and computer and copy the files to your computer. Or remove the SD card from the camera and plug into a card reader and plug the reader Into your computer
I currently have a Canon 600D DSLR which I intended to use way more than I actually have. I didn’t really progress from auto mode (shame on me). Is this a good upgrade? Will it be too complicated for me to get to grips with? Would I notice a difference in photo quality? Thanks in advance.
Hey! Can the canon R8 compete with the Sony a7iii? Would it be worth buying it over the Sony a7iii? Which should I buy canon r8 or sony a7iii? Answer me!
Yes it can compete and its a tuff call in some respects, but I would still go with the A7 III at this time, specifically because Sony has so many more lenses to choose from compared to Canon. Canon is catching up though ;)

What would be the benefit of turning the stabiliser off?
Saving battery life as it's not needed on a tripod for example.

Which lens? This is an RF-S Mount camera, so you would need lens adapters for Non RF Lenses...

Customization in Canon cameras is practically nonexistent, for everything you need to dive in to menu.
