    Hi folks wasn't really going to release this video on here but with Fayes mic playing up she had very little useable footage so this was the next best thing , anyway back from a great weekends glamping on the cruisers on the island of Anglesey in North Wales but as happens on so many occasions the weather didn't quite play ball so in true British fashion we just cracked on regardless .
    as always feel free to contact us .

    Pro Tip: If you pop into your local LIDL, you can buy a pack of those disposable hand warmers / foot warmers that'll work for a few hours, pop inside your gloves & boots and it'll do in a pinch, they won't take up much space in a backpack or topbox etc!

      Yeah Faye had them in her gloves .. luckily i get them free at work as i work outside 👍

    Hi Shaun, my experience is that heated gloves are significantly better than heated grips. The gloves warm your whole hand and it doesn't matter when you take your hand off the handle bars. I have the type that plug into the bike battery so I don't have to worry about batteries going flat. Most of the battery operated gloves I have seen only have a life of 4 to 6 hours depending on heat settings, this isn't long enough if you are out on tour or in a situation where you can't recharge them.

    • @TinsonTour
      @TinsonTour  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah agree , been talking about getting heated gloves for donkeys years now just never seem to get round to it although will definitely have some for next winter

    Wouldn't this be nice if the "His 'n Her's" cruiser thing became reality on all future ToT video realeases!
    I find something good in all engine driven 2 wheelers, but my base love has always been for Cruisers.
    These two here sure do make a good couple, just like the couple riding them do!

    Took me a while to transition from sport touring to full cruiser bikes. The large floor boards compared to pegs, wow! Heel toe shifter, radio and all storage. I am older than Google so it is very fitting for me to be on big twin cruisers. Those bikes look more of what I would call 80s Muscle Bikes, nice looking machines.

    I had an American RV for about 8 years. Loved it, stuck a small motorcycle on a rack on the back - as you say "living the dream". A mate of mine did the same on his. It was like a mobile apartment. As you have an HGV, look at getting a 26' American RV - they'll fit on most camp sites. The European Camper vans don't have the same level of luxury. If you go down the camper van route, there are a few things to think about:
    *Water* - you never have enough and you'll have too much waste water. I carried an extra 25 litres in a jerrycan which lived in the shower when I wasn't showering.
    *Electricity* - get a lot of solar panels (cover the entire roof) and have sufficient (Gel or Lithium) batteries and a pure sine wave inverter (Victron are the dogs dangly bits) of at least 3000w as "her indoors" will require a lot of power - DAMHIK. Do *_not_* get modified sine wave - some electronics don't work with them.
    *Decent Awning* is a must - just get one. In the rain, somewhere dry to take your kit off. Somewhere to park your bike under at night. Somewhere to eat outdoors. Somewhere to just relax - the list is nearly endless as to why you need one - you'll understand when you have it.
    *BBQ* don't argue - just get one. Gas if possible as charcoal takes a bit of cleaning - DAMHIK.
    *Portable 12v & Mains Fridge* - a godsend for beer, white wine etc. I started with none and I now have two!!!!
    *2 comfortable, reclining, lightweight outdoor chairs* preferably with beer holders in the armrests.
    _Most of the stuff you take with you you'll never use!_ DAMHIK. The first time you go out, take what you think you need. When you get back, remove everything you didn't use. You'll probably never use it!

    As cruisers go ,it seems ok , the only thing I am not keen on is the stubby rear end & the bitza mudguard come reg plate holder . I reckon it would look better with a proper rear mudguard & number plate holder . Also I the only time I felt comfortable feet forward , was when riding a twist & rip maxi scooter , it feels weird on a motorcycle ,especially when operating the gear & rear brake foot levers . Shame about the weather ,but if we only ride bikes in the warm dry weather in the U.K. , we would hardly get to ride at all .I might treat myself to some of that bright Oxford rain kit myself , looks the business . 👍

    • @TinsonTour
      @TinsonTour  5 месяцев назад +1

      Funny how personal taste differs which is a good thing , i love the stubby back end although not that practical .... we tend to wear hi viz clothing in winter just for that extra bit of safety

    • @maskedavenger2578
      @maskedavenger2578 5 месяцев назад

      @@TinsonTour That sort of stubby rear end & bitza mudguard seems to be the fashion at present . I reckon it’s due to motorcycle factory’s ,employing too many gamer nerds in their design departments . At one time I wouldn’t of be seen dead in bright yellow bike gear ,as we all thought it looked naff . Now we are older we have more sense & can see it’s benefit ,of being able to be seen ,especially in poor light & cloudy rainy conditions . 👍
