One hundred websites and support communities suggested non working solutions and not one of them mentioned that "troubleshooter" thing O.O I had to run troubleshooter once for the minimum x86 msi and once for the additional one, then finally the all-in-one-installer worked. Thank you so much.

This one however is the one that actually worked, after like a week of just suffering after downloading apex and unable to play BF2 or KorvaaK now I can. I can say that it does not work. Ive tried all these different things and this video is another failed attempt. Im not even able to download the x86 without getting the same error code thats been popping up with my games

Needed to install AutoCAD for a class I'm taking and it came up. Hit cancel, wouldn't install the program. I've tried to figure out how to fix this numerous times with countless hours spent and your how-to video worked flawlessly. And it was so easy. No question, you rule. Thank you!!

Side note to anyone today running into this issue when you go to download the C++ files, if it’s for rage, match the year to the file missing listed, won’t matter if it’s out of date, I make sure to have the current supported ones but if you do not download the 2010 c++ specifically, ragehook will not launch.
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! This doesn't only go for rage. This goes for all applications. Many applicates rely on specific versions. The unintaller/troubleshooter will still help but mind must be payed to the version the problematic application is requiring. Thank you @aleksandervladimirbruggen3314
You don't necessarily need to remove all of them; some of them you can't even remove. Best to leave the "not supported" ones untouched. Just be smart about it and follow Ben's steps! Worked like a charm for me. Thanks!
