    Disclaimer: Glarry did send me this guitar for free to review and have fun with.

    I’ve been using my jazz iii pick for a quick reference set up gauge for years!! Nicely done, sir!

    So many possibilities. I think I may spray the back of the neck a vintage amber. I may put a veneer on the front. I may redesign the Glarry logo. I may cut the headstock. For $89 dollars, it's easy to go wild and have fun modding these guitars.

    I'm seriously thinking of buying this. I have a modded Glarry HSS, a Fender SSS and this HSH would complete my Strat set up.

    Very nice video! I agree with you about working up one of these cheap guitars. I bought a GIZ101 from Glarry and it needed some work but afterwards it’s one of my favorites to play. It’s a copy of a Casino and I removed the trapeze tailpiece and replaced it with a Riviera split Frequensator. It’s perfect now!

    Awesome demo.. its amazing how great these entry level guitars can sound with a set up and some touch ups. I hear a pumpkins influence in the heavy part of the demo (esp the tone).. then i saw the url for your shopify store, is someone an SP fan?!

    I realise this video is a year old but I was just wondering about the weight. The first glarry you were raving about how light it was. Is this one the same?

    There are decent guitars out there for little coin, with a little elbow grease they can be formidable instruments, this one looks quite good!

    Hey Mark, how about some info on that cool, probably expensive gauge that you didn't use? Stew Mac maybe? Thanks. Just getting tools together for work on my "more than I needed", collection of guitars. Thanks!😸

    I keep hearing that by the time you get a basic setup done on one of these Glarry guitars you have spent more than the guitar is worth, so you should just purchase a better guitar. However, shouldn't you get a basic setup done on any new guitar you purchase? Any mass produced guitar would benefit from it, right? So then how does that argument hold water when I am still having to pay for a setup either way? I know you are pretty much guarenteed to need a setup if you get a guitar from a pawn shop. So if this is a first or second instrument from my tennager that is learning to play guitar, it seems to me so be a better alternative to paying $200-$400 for a beatup old guitar from a pawn shop. If he want's a guitar with battle scars, seems to me he should get to be the one to give it those scars over time, not some unknown person who valued the instrument so little they hawked it at a pawn shop.

      I hear you. I don't recommend these Glarrys for beginners. They all need a setup. Then again, just picked up a brand new $299 Squier and it needs a setup too. Setups are inescapable for inexpensive guitars.

    Very cool. Love your vidz. And cool doom riff at the end. What tuning was that? Sounded heavy! 👍🤘

    Easy to fix a high fret. Low fret is a different story.

    Hi, how does the neck feels? Is it thin or thick and chunky like a baseball bat? Thanks for the review!

    • @MarkGutierrez
      @MarkGutierrez  Год назад +1

      It's not chunky at all. Thinner than a standard neck but not Ibanez wizard thin.
