    Randy Orton always does this. He takes his time wiping his feet before entering. Probably because of his heritage and his dad taught him well. Thank you for the video, I like how you cover everything in your channels even something as simple as entering the ring and the etiquette.

      I never watched Bob Jr a lot, he was a little before my time as a wrestling fan, but I've always heard commentators and people who were around talk about how he was a great worker. I do know he was one of the guys who Gorilla Monsoon would call "the excellence of execution," before that came to be exclusively associated with Bret Hart!
      Also, I remember William Regal would always wipe his feet before entering the ring. I'm sure there's other guys who always did that, but it always reminds me of him.

    One of my goals is to step foot in any wrestling ring and just slam myself on the mat and bounce on the ropes and fall from the top rope lol the closest I came was touching the mat back when there was a small event over where I lived.

    I love your videos but I don't remember seeing any wrestler do that. Not that I don't think it's a good thing to do. It's a very nice thing to do but half or so matches have wrestlers exit the ring and enter it again. Some even roll inside. And those wrestlers are nice people so why won't they follow this rule? Anyway, if I wrestler one day, I would surely do this.

    • @SantinoBros
      @SantinoBros  5 лет назад +7

      Yes, you are correct. It's a tradition of yesteryear. Mainly because of different time, a different place and most importantly a different venue than the days of the carnivals. It's definitely still widely respected today where some wrestlers will kick you out of their ring.

      @@SantinoBros That's almost exactly what I guessed. I was figuring if the ropes were 16" apart, and the ropes were maybe 1.5" high (not around), the top rope would be roughly 52.5". Or, if the ropes were 18" apart, the top rope would be 58.5" high. But that seemed a little too high to me. I'm 6'2" and was wondering where the top rope would come up to on me. I can't go by seeing a wrestler who is billed at 6'2" because they usually always lie about their height/weight.

    • @SantinoBros
      @SantinoBros  3 года назад +1

      I can but it's not my best skill. Some wrestlers like Jake Atlas can remember an 1 hour + long match, not me though, that's why I prefer calling it in the ring. Everyone is different and everyone calls a match different.
