I just started wrestling school and daily I’m watching your vids. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏽
Thanks for watching!
Good luck ! I hope you succeed
Debs Adolphe Thank you 🙏🏽
S T no problem I wanna be a wrestler too
Debs Adolphe Awsome. Go for it!!
You guys make those rolls look so easy as they’re not
I know I veer to left
Or land on neck
Thanks so much. I was stuck on some of these rolls at training and watching your videos is what made the difference.
Joeys lookin like he’s ring shape ready!
Thanks for these detailed guides, I’m looking to start training soon, and not having every really done anything in the way of rolls etc I’ve been stressing over my ability to do these.
I love this channel. All of my pro-wrestling questions are answered here. This channel is really FULL, and I mean FULL of pro-wrestling informations.
Watching these so I know what to expect with future training
Just beginning wrestling school thank you for the advice in the ring🙏
Watching these for future preference
thank you.
How soft is the matt compared to a wooden floor lol? Because I kinda wanna practice, but I just have the wooden floorboard in my house 😂
For my experience you can practice on a hard surface if you have some background and that actually is going to give you more feedback on how good you are. Keep in mind this is a roll so you have to roll, not jump. If you jump you're going to feel pain. If you don't have any background I'd start trying on a grass.
If you have to try bumps, that's a different thing. You'll need at least an one inch EVA mat; that is the same hardness than the wrestling ring though the ring has a shock absorber which makes it even softer
i love how these are literally the basics but my b*tch ass is still so scared to do them. gonna go far in pro wrestling xD
Okay so I’ve been training for a year now, and I can do every roll, but recently I haven’t been able to do my left shoulder roll period, either I flop down or I get scared to do it.. any tips?
work on your figure 4 get ups. If you can do the right quarter roll then you're half way there. You just have to duplicate it. Try not bending your leading knee more than a 120 degree angle. Lean over till your leading arm nearly touches your leading toe. As you roll (roll on the back of your hand, wrist, forarm, bicep to shoulder to a 3/4 of your back. Remember to do the figure four get up which will throw you off if you don't
Just bought me an air track to practice rolls in the yard while our ring is locked up for Corona-isolation. But I find that I get more whiplashes than in the real ring, when I hit any bump or roll due to the increased bounce . Any advice for good ways of training basics without a ring?
Plan on starting my actual wrestling training soon, need to get a but bigger tho lol. In a skinny due with a high metabolism so i dont rlly know how to bulk up
I have a question what would you use the roll for in a pro wrestling match is it used to evade a attack
I have problem with half rolls i get dizzy alot. and if i do the forward and backward rolls so much i get dizzy
Hey I'm really struggling with 3/4 rolls. I keep bumping instead of rolling. Any tips???
Rolls are so hard but I'm keep Practicing
I was in the 8th grade p.e. class and we did that same thing
This one looks hard. But I appreciate your video. Thank you:).
You're welcome 😊
I work for the PPW junior grapplers and can barely do any kind of roll !!
This seems like it should be so easy, but the very first thing my school started students off doing as a cardio exercise was putting one student in each corner and having us do rolls to the next corner, turn and roll to the next, etc.... which is fine until you have someone like me who struggles to get up out of a roll, then you've got people rolling into you. :(
Luckily I'm not planning to be a wrestler. I'm just taking some of the very basic training with those guys cause I'm going into reffing and I want to be able to take bumps, etc. when the match calls for it.
I have problem. With pin 123 roll up
I tumble for fun on a mat I can do a forward roll but not with my hands is that normal
1st dat of training was last night- Im def SORE BUT i love it. My ROLLS are fine for the front and Quater front- my back roll needs work and getting up from each roll i had an issue with. Any advice? P.S i know i need to lose some weight as well. lol ( And it was my 1st day)
Great to hear! Try to make sure to use your hands while back rolling over your neck to 1. protect your neck and 2. pushing up with your arms will help you get to your feet.
i just started wrestling school but i'm really struggling to do a forward roll any tips or advice?
Squat lower, tuck your head deeper, utilize your hands to control your movement without halting it. Push off the ball of your feet and grab your knees on the way up in order to get back to your feet. Also body weight workouts will help you control your body. Push ups, Squats, Lunges, Updowns, jumping jacks etc etc.
Started wrestling training last august. Only thing I still can’t do is that damned left quarter roll lol
Whenever I do any rolls the bone that sticks out of my neck sometimes starts to hurt rly bad as well as the top of my right shoulder is there something in doing wrong?
It's hard to evaluate it without seeing your roll, but definitely shouldn't hurt your neck or shoulder on any roll if done correctly.
I have the same issue, hurts really bad
QUESTION... Is the ring made similar to gymnastics spring floor? It sounds similar...
Y2J Fanboy not at all, a boxing ring doesn’t bounce. A wrestling ring bounces
@@aidancoolman4514 so, is it like gymnastic springfloor?
It is typically canvas over 1.5" foam rubber padding which lays on wooden planks laid across steel beams. It gives a little, more towards the middle, and offers a slight cushion (in the sense it doesn't feel like a concrete floor) but that's about it. Stiff, not soft
@@jessinotjessie steel beams with a shock absorber in the middle. To answer the question, IDK how a gymnastic spring mat is, but basically it is very bouncy in the middle but close to the ropes it's pretty much like a boxing/fighting tatami. That's why all the big bumps, jumps, suplexes, slams, etc. are done as close to the middle as possible
on my first day i puked for doing rolls, any advice for this? lol
Weather you're new or rusty all rolls will make most dizzy, You need to build your tolerance for the rolls. Start by concentrating on taking your time and breathing on every roll.
Change your diet if you eat like crap. It makes learning a lot more easy.
Thank god for this! I canNOT get my quarter rolls and tiger rolls down for the life of me. Any tips ?
Remember the 3/4 roll is head over heels not gingerbread man style. Try starting on your left knee, right knee bent foot flat on floor. Lead with your right arm and quarter roll from your knee. We'll do a video showing you and give you some tips if you're having trouble.
Santino Bros. Wrestling I’m having trouble! I can front rolls perfectly it’s back rolls and quarter rolls & Tiger rolls I’m having a hard time with! May you please make another video on how to do it?
What can I do if I am Struggling to do these rolls
Start working on your core strength. Push ups, pull ups, sit ups, squats, lunges, yoga. etc etc. Also you can start doing the rolls from your knee. I'll make a video soon.
Steve O teaches wrestling?💀 (No hate I love Steve O and your channel is sick )
I’ve been doing the backwards rolls, but I do the Jiu Jitsu version where your neck is on the side.
I can get the hang of it any advice ?
Start utilizing neck strengthening exercises.
In lucha, we are taught to look up when we roll on our neck, giving us a quicker stance to our feet.
What are both of you guys is finishing moves
The Gonzo Bomb
Santino Bros. Wrestling 🤼♀️ Joey please let me know when you get a new building and when Santino Bros Has a grand opening I can hardly wait to sign up for your wrestling organization
Every time I try to do it I get so afraid and stop and don't know how to get over this fear 💔
I have many students that have this fear but overcome it with coaching and determination. I will make a video some tips to help with the roll if you are stopping yourself. For now start working on your core strength (Push ups, body weight squats, jumping jacks, lunges, pull ups, sit ups, yoga)
@@SantinoBros thank you so much ❤🙏🏻
This is me with doing flip bumps (or anything where I do upside down in the air really) I always feel like I'm going to get half way there and fall on my head, so I end up freaking out and aborting the flip.
@@KaiserSoze679 😥😥
Using your toes on the forward will prevent you from taking a bump on your back
Do you guys let people start training at 16
We only take students 18 years old and up.
I know you have to be 18 to train but i was hoping that you would make an exception but i knew 100 percent it was going to be a no.Hopefully by the time im 18 i would have all the money collected to pay for it,I love this sport.
Yo I got you lol and I like the whole pro wrestling business and the same age with a channel with a group of friends that's dedicated to wrestling and if you wanna talk let me know
@@bryanmike7680 im interested the only problem would be if its out of state. I live in California but if its out state i would be willing to do it i would just need money.Thank you for this opportunity.
Luis Zuluaga well it's not out of state my man it's in Los Angeles California and I can send the link to the channel
How doea one get over the fear of the backwards roll? 😭
Should bigger guys learn and do these also? Guys near 300lbs
Yes. Brody King is 300+ pounds and can do all these rolls. Do big wrestlers NEED to do this? Rolling and or tumbling rarely come into play unless you're taking an armdrag. But psychology tells me it must be a big dude giving said arm drag which would not make sense either since it's another big guy. What the rolls do is it gives you the advantage of being able to move in the ring.
I'm in a wrestling school and folks they're easy unless you know the techniques lol
🇮🇳👍🏼
These advance rolls are taught in tae kwon do
In russia they. Make it harder they make like a flip
I' Johnny Knoxville, welcome to Jackass!
im too fucking scared to do lessons nty
Ring is small
me doing this when I am 10

Am I the only one that sees white hair?
