Im looking to be more available for my grandson and granddaughter but still make more money to live and invest, travel. I would really appreciate the opportunity to learn and level up!
Hi Steve, I am a retired gentleman who is trying to start a par-time (if that means anything in this industry?) bookkeeping business. I took some accounting courses via LinkedIn Learning as well as watched a ton of RUclips videos. I reclaimed our grandchildren's bedroom from when they used to visit but they are all grown now. I bought a used desk, ordered a refurbished desktop PC off eBay, and set up an LLC. I'm now getting antsy to get started but yeah, I am not all that confident on what to do should I get that phone call. I am considering on joining your group.
Sounds like you are off to the right start. You can make your bookkeeping business what you want it to be. That is the beauty of working for yourself! It can be a part-time or side hustle, and it can certainly replace a full income over time. You are at a point that most are at when making the decision. Is it worth joining? I would 100% say YES! We have a community of bookkeepers starting out, and some that have been up and running for a while. Community members post questions or issues that they have uncovered, and many community members respond. You are not alone when you join BookkeepingLife. We have a weekly QuickBooks trainer, Pamela, who does Zoom calls on Sunday evenings, which is included when you join. You can join live or watch them later at your leisure. We can help with branding - logo, website, etc. When you join, you get access to over 100 recorded Zoom training over different QB topics and scenarios you might run into when starting out. We hope to see you in the BL community soon!
Hi Steve, can I ask what you use the 3 different computer screens for? (genuine curiosity as I have a spare monitor which only today I was thinking to sell or get rid of, and then saw your video and thought I'd ask!)
Because I have a BookkeepingLife business and my own true bookkeeping business, I like to keep them separated on screens. I recommend a laptop and at least one external screen - my eyes are bad on a laptop!
@@Bookkeeping_Life my eyes too :) Thanks for replying Steve and what you say makes perfect sense - I might hold onto that second monitor I was thinking of getting rid of after all. Plus keeping different entities (even personal/business) separate and on different screens is making me think more like a bookkeeper - I like it 👍🏻
Great video as usual!

I am going to two monitors when I upgrade my system. It will make things faster when attaching receipts\documents in QBO.
Hello brother, I want to join your course but can I do this business in USA form India or does it require any kind of visa?
Not aware of any restrictions.
Do you worry that AI will make us bookkeepers obsolete?
I think AI will not make book keepers obsolete, rather it will reduce efforts of book keepers, and also enable them to take up more assignments
Not in the near future. Intuit/QuickBooks is working on tools that have AI to HELP you, not remove you from your career.
