They do seem like different types of jets though. The Global 7500 is an ultra long range biz jet (closest competitors would be Gulfstream G700 and Dassault's upcoming Falcon 9x), while the ACJ220 is a bizliner, a more modern, efficient, and superior performing narrowbody to the outdated ACJ319/320 and BBJ MAX models.
@@loretog7315 Both come from Bombardier while operating costs are far less than even G650. Price wise it maybe cheaper than Global 7500 or at par with interiors.
It was a fair comparison. I’m impressed with what Bombardier has produced. Beyond the review, I would be interested in understanding sub-6 month lease commitments for smaller jets (intercontinental range for 3/4 month product launch (product + team of 4-6)). Though this year may be a right-off, due to restrictions. But I am curious about... How are short team leases calculated and compared on similar products (jets)? Are there taxable benefits/advantages? And, which lighter jets are typically considered for lease within the U.S./Canada? I may to early... I’m not in the market quite yet, but I would like to understand for future options. Thanks for another video.
Kellington, ping me an email and I'll book you in for a call. I think we need to get specific and see what the best solution is for you. fab@orvilleaviation.com
Which piloting system is better & newer? Yoke design or side stick design? I read that yoke design on Global 5500 is old technology compared to side stick design of the Gulfstream g500
Did he say the 5500 is 17 kts faster. The stats published by both manufactures give an identical LRC speed of M.85. To be 17 kts faster the G500 would have to be cruising at M.82 which is G4 speeds. All jets cruise at a indicated mach no and the TAS varies with OAT. So it's pointless to talk about a jets cruise speed in Kts TAS.
@@BizJetTV in what way, L/D, total drag, Mcrit, BSFC, thats a very long bow to draw. Yes the wing on the Global is slatted, but who really takes a 70 million dollar jet into runways under 1300m long. Slats and associated systems are very $$$.
Global 5500 hands-down.
Would like to see Global 7500 Vs ACJ220 video too especially since both are originally from Bombardier.

Great comparison of aircrafts 🛫🤓
Please make review the extra costs of owning/buying 2nd hand aircrafts above 10 years..... 🛫🤓
Will do, thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you for the offer.
Super video 👍🏻
Another interesting video Fab. 🙏
Biz Jet TV - Fabrizio Have you ever thought of trying to get Harrison Ford on for an interview. Or John Travolta / Tom Cruise ?

You are right. However, the aerodynamics on the Global 5500 are better than the G500, consequently better performance.
