just to clarify, same person, at the start eye patch is covering his one ghoul eye because he couldnt control it and was ashamed, and the one on the bottom is on the other side because he is now hiding his human eye and "accepting" he has become a ghoul

The story of Tokyo Ghoul is that there are these creatures called ghouls, they look and act exactly like humans except they are far stronger and can only gain nutrients by eating human flesh. The main character Kaneki almost gets killed by a ghoul and after they both get gravely injured her organs are planted into his. Because of that he turns into a half-ghoul. Throughout the story he comes to terms with himself, overcoming his own personal trauma (trauma is a really common theme throughout the series) and brings the humans and ghouls together peacefully. It’s a masterpiece in my personal opinion, but the anime changed a lot by cutting out almost half of the story and changing multiple plot points, along with having really questionable plot choices. But a remake has been pretty much confirmed for its 10 year anniversary.
This isn’t the official Opening, I’m pretty sure it’s a fan edit. People really don’t like the anime for some reason The Anime is just different from the Manga. That’s why they despise it. You are perfectly clear to watch the show and enjoy it, then when you read the Manga you’ll enjoy that too. Don’t let others spoil the fun.
I don't know, if you want to do it, but i really recommend the unravel cover (the live version) from the artist Ado. She is now 21 years old and remains anonymous, but she absolutely nailed this song. (She also sang all the songs from the one piece film red movie, just so you know ^^)

It’s the strongest franchise in anime with their base abilities giving them immeasurable speed. & power scaling playlist is all the proof we need, my essay playlist also proves it has the best written characters in anime especially in the girl aspect.(something shonen struggles with) Like generic anime channel’s shirou vid, it’s billion$ budget & ufotable even come together to give us peak animation of any year they drop or period. Its also the lotr of anime with lore on lore & galore.
Tbh i wouldnt recommend watching tokyo ghoul. The 1st season is okay but it kinda fall flat in my opinion 😭😭😭 Cuz most of the fandom agreed that the manga is way better than the anime, thats why we prefer reading instead of watching but the musics slaps tho
The manga is top tier the anime stopped following the source material(in the second season)it’s not worth watching(in my opinion) Watching is fine, but if you want more enjoyable experience with better story, I would read it

You guys have anime channel. I didn't know that. This anime is one of the best animes out there. The studio didn't adapt This anime properly. The manga is really good. This anime is 100% better than one piece. The manga is definitely better than the song of thus anime. Season 1 is one of the best season of tokyo ghoul. Watch it. You will understand why it's better than one piece.
