Whatever fitness Kipchoge has lost to Father Time has only brought him somewhat back to the rest of the field. He still leads that field by an absurd distance. We should all consider ourselves lucky to watch this man run. Appreciate greatness y’all!

ok, we all know how Kipchogue is the GOAT, but no mention about Tigst Assefa? that world record is just insane, it´s the headline for Berlin 2023

Zatopek is top , but definitely put Kipchoge above him... no question for me and I do think 80 percent of people in the world would put Kipchoge above Zatopek

Under these race conditions it would have been great to see Kiptum out there too.....if these two pushed each other in last 10k who knows what time they could run.

Kipchoge is not only a marathoner, he is a sportsman. I have come to like his mentality and respect he has for others. I am thinking of starting running short marathons and if possible '' keep jogging club '' I wish to congratulate the young girl who came third from TZ. Thanks to Nation TV and all those who made it possible for us viewers to enjoy watching.

I saw Kipchoge limp during the awards ceremony. He might have a lingering injury in that leg that cost him a title in Boston. I will enjoy and celebrate watching this man race until he retires

People need to consider wind and heat vs WR as well. I managed the same time as my first with significant training in Australia but the heat was a huge factor. Everyone’s result was impacted and on this level even a degree or two would make a difference

Everyone keeps saying Berlin is the one to do it , but the world record was nearly broken in London, the crowd lifts you more in London and why i think the under ,2hours will go in London.

If Kiochoge had switched his focus to the marathon earlier in his career, I think he had a real chance of breaking 2 hours in competition. He was primarily a track athlete until the age of 27 or 28.

I’m going to assume a race strategy necessary to drop everyone early is not one that would result in a WR. Can’t blame him for wanting to secure a 5th victory first and foremost

Shame the younger guys only decided to race for second...they would have caught him today ithey had been braver...even not being brave they had closed to 40 seconds...Kip still a fantastic runner but you have to suspect he has peaked time wise...Only a matter of when and where when one of the ever improving group of youngers break the veil of reputation down....great victory for Kipchoge but defending his Olympic title in Paris will be difficult in the extreme...wouldn't be surprised if Kiptum has broken the world record by then....The real highlight of Berlin was the Women race which was astonishing.
