Congrats on your Twins! After his record number of 4th & 5th places in WC/OLY 100m Finals, felt like the whole T&F community let out a huge sigh of relief that 31yr old Akani Simbine at least got his hands on a Global Medal with his OLY 4x1 Silver when him & Zharnel Hughes ran a monster final leg to win Silver & Bronze for SA & GB respectively!
I feel bad for Akani he had his best season yet it still wasn't enough to get a medal atleast in the relay he got a medal Btw congrats on your twins on the way
💯. I participated in a study on block settings in about 2003. Full sensors and the works. I did at least ten full starts and went under 0.1 at least three times with the rest being no worse than 0.13. I was a "fast starter". I also got DQd in a race with sensored blocks for going under but spent most of my time racing without sensored blocks. As we all know, the rule was based off a random study of a handful of sub elite sprinters. The rule needs to be set at 0.05 or at least 0.08 because it's absolutely certain we can react faster than 0.1 and a lot of work has been done on this over the last 20 years.
I've always felt bad for Simbine, to be one of the best, but never get on the podium is heart wrenching. I had him getting 3rd in Paris, but alas. He's definitely mentally stronger than most athletes, who would've started doping by now.
Hey TRP! You should do a piece on the situation in Norway regarding Gjert Ingebrigtsen. The athletic body is moving to bar him from everything long before there has been a criminal/civil trial or verdict. It’s already causing a bit of fuzz here. Nordås & Svela are the only ones that stand by him until further notice. Good lads ❤
How do you research your data? how do you edit your videos? the sheer amount of data and information on your videos is very impressive. how do you get so much data so quickly?
It's not physically possible to respond to a sound that isn't there! The fact that there is force inside of the span of the gunshot means that he was starting before the sound reached him. That is the textbook definition of a false start. No other runner has a force blip inside of the gunshot. You can not call an anticipated start a true start. That is the problem. To remove instability from timing, you must have a definitive zero. That can not mean letting people jump the gun... A clean .078 is a joke right, right? Considering you just got done explaining that it takes .1 seconds to hear the sound, and almost .5 seconds for the whole neural network of synapses to fire up! It's just not possible, and we shouldn't allow it ever.
0.05 seconds for a synapse. There’s actually a lot of studies suggesting that 0.1 seconds is not the proper timeframe. I’d be happy to forward you the studies
@TotalRunningProductions It is not possible. I stand by that. I've seen the science behind it, and there will never be any discussing it until the science backs it up. Until that happens, discuss whatever your opinion feels is necessary. But that's why rules exist... 🍻
This is false. The IAAF ruling of 0.100 comes from a study done years ago with a sample size of 12 athletes all from one nation, none of them Olympic caliber. Other studies have shown 0.08 ~ 0.09 as achievable by humans, & a bunch of track athletes have pulled it off. The 0.078 is most likely legit & just a good reaction time.
The fact that this man is still cranking with the big dogs in the 100 shows his grit and class.

Akani Simbine will not be forgotten. An extraordinary African Sprinter!
Actually he will be easily forgotten until wins something major.
0:00 ALREADY A BANGER
Congrats!! Hope the twins are healthy. In time, they will be very proud of their dad.

Most athletes don't even reach one big final. Simbine is a great sprinter 😊.
False start rules are BS

Omg. Poor guy. I swear I feel bad for him because he is such a gentleman and a class act.

Akani Simbine's story is heartbreaking if the mark of greatness is medals. However, his career is filled with outstanding achievements.
He seems to be the Marie Jose' Talou-Smith of men's printing.
The most Tragic thing would be if he was injured or worse. Coming in 4th place in fastest 100M of all time is nothing to be ashamed of.
Fun fact: no one’s finished the video yet
Yh
Facts
X2 speed bro
@@aaronbeattie4813 Damn, you’re ‘2X…Speed…Ahead…’
As tragic as 4th place is, it's a new PB & he actually got to run. Imo getting DQ'd for having a really good reaction time is more tragic.
Coming to you in 2025! Really wonderful, the best to all 4 of you!
omg twins? congrats! project bolt/blake beginning in 2025?
This is a crying shame 🫠 😢 💔 ❤
That's actually really good that you made video giving the recognition he truly deserves.
that is for sure quite the record in that 100 meters,
meanwhile andre de grasse has a medal in every olympic final he's been in
Our King🇿🇦

This video was long overdue ❤
I’LL CERTAINLY BE ROOTING FOR HIM IN THE SEASONS TO COME 🤷🏽♂️
This comment will be lost among the crowd
Will it? Will this?
Maybe not. Stay strong king
Cual es la relevancia de tu publicación?
Not necessarily ❤
Your comment is like Jesus . It lives 😅
4th place in 3 straight olympics is tragic 😭
0.1 should become 0.08 at least maybe 0.07
Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈🍾 that’s great man!
Akani Simbine and Frankie Fredericks
Frankie won medals
Congrats on the twins🎉🎉🎉🎉
