I’m out of uvalde county and had a ticket for speeding 81 in a 75. I had to pay my ticket take a drivers safety course and had to stay out of trouble for 60 days.
Wow Im from Indiana and I got a speeding ticket he clocked me at 99 in a 65 and all they made me do was pay $200 and not get another infraction for 6 months.
In California, in order to do driving school, you have to plead guilty and pay the fine, so that you don’t have to get the points on your record or the insurance premiums increase. If you fight your ticket in court, the choice for driving school is solely up to the judge. If you’re convicted, a judge has 100% discretion on whether or not to allow driving school.
I have a class A CDL with hazmat I ALWAYS GET A LAWYER! I’ve had my fair share of tickets in my career and I can say only one of them was on my record and that was only due to the lawyer I hired did NOT show up in court for me.

Speeding isn't a victimless crime. Driving to fast on a road that's not built for that destroys the road. Driving too fast slows your reaction time down. Driving too fast can cause an accident Driving too fast can take an life. I have a friend who got T boned by a woman speeding. His car rolled into the park and it was a surprise he didn't get hurt his car was so mangled. She tried to blame him for the accident. I have another friend who got T boned by another speeder who also ran a red light. She also tried to blame hime for the accident. The car was upside down and he was covered in blood and broken glass. He was just glad his son wasn't in the truck when it got hit as it was his side that was struck. But he had just dropped him off. I know a teenager who died because of a speeder who was also doing an illegal pass. He died quick. He had just became employee of the month that day on his way to work. My mom got rear ended by a speeder when she stopped at a stop sign. He blamed her. It was all caught on tape because the local TV news was interviewing the police and firefighters who where at the corner raising money for charity. I have seen a lot of needless crap from people speeding. It's selfish behavior and usually the ones who cause an accident due to speeding don't feel they are responsible because they are so full of themselves and can't take responsibility for their own actions and decisions. You never need one for a speeding ticket. People dont know the majority of the time if you go to court to fight the ticket it will get dropped. The officer that gave u the ticket has to be present and they usually arent and ALSO, they have to have proof beyond reasonable doubt that you were speeding and they rarely have that.
