Thank you, I have to wait on law enforcement. They will let me know, I emailed and called. I heard someone on the phone saying I have to go in. I asked more than once, and said I would be glad to come in. I am waiting for law enforcement.

The lawyer I got seems really nice and says I wont have to talk, but Im terrified of what would happen if the judge asks me a question and i don’t know how to respond.
Melanie well i found out my principle helped me out a lot and let me just settle things and not talk to him or start problems u will have to talk most likely unless it’s like me. but it’s ok just answer the questions truthfully and you’ll most likely have ppl in front of u getting there cases done so you’ll have time to settle down and think

I am going back for the trial and I haven’t spoken to the lawyer if I am going to see him which I don’t want to because I tried my best to heal and if I see him again, I would panicked.

The most important thing to know about Court is that judges and attorneys do not recognize state statutes or the United States Constitution.
The law literally has no standing or authority in a “Court of Law.”
Plus, you always have three people working against you: the other lawyer, your own lawyer and the judge. And, they’re all against you because they don’t recognize the law or the United States Constitution.
Court is all about “the show.” Whoever puts on the best show generally wins - the facts and the law be dammed.

I go on October 2nd for the same reason I have anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder so it makes it really hard for me to attend school. I probably won’t sleep at all the night before!
Well fuck me sideways, I'll have to go in a month for something that's not even remotely my fault. Here in Serbia, even though military service is not mandatory, apparently you still have to be registered to show that you're available or whatever (as if having access to your records from other govt institutions isn't enough...). Once you turn 18, I guess at some point they are supposed to send you a letter to show up and get it done, problem is, I never got such a letter, and now, over a year after I turned 18, they have an issue with this. Knowing how fucked the system is over here for the most part, I (and every normal citizen of this country) was hoping that I'll never have anything to do with the police or the court in terms of criminal things, but here I am, for something as stupid as this. The worst part is the fact that apparently not getting registered with them can be punished with up to 50k dinars (400 something dollars), or 60 days in prison... I really hope it goes well, otherwise I'm super fucked, not just with uni but I guess life in general. (ps, stay as far away from this shit country as possible)

@@AdmoreMethod completely forgot about this comment. Tbh, nothing actually happened lol. I went twice for what was essentially a 1 on 1 meeting with a local judge, I told them I never received the letter from the military, and now more than 2 years later, I haven't heard from either the court or the military again. So I guess they just gave up or something, idk, either way I'm not complaining, I have my master's studies left to complete and then I'm leaving this shithole at the first possible opportunity.

Went to court for skipping 1 period for 7 days
I’m so terrified..I accidentally left the scene of an accident and google is not helping with my fears of the punishment.. nobody was hurt except the side of my car. (Scraped against the back corner of a school bus and knocked off my mirror) I’m a new driver and panicked, instead of pulling over I went 5 seconds around the corner and parked in a gas station to call my mother and ask what to do. I didn’t think to call the cops and I was too nervous to get back on the busy road and go back. Eventually the cops came (assuming from the bus driver) and gave me a ticket for leaving the scene. I’ve been crying since it happened on Monday. I’m so petrified to even think of getting any amount of jail time for a stupid decision made because I was so panicked I couldn’t think of what to do in that moment.

1. to make money off of fines; and
2. to create criminals.
Notice I didn’t say punish criminals. No.

I dont know where you are from but court in the US is very formal compared to most places in europe. you want to wear at the very least a tucked in button down shirt with long pants (not jeans). If it is a serious matter you will want to wear a suit and tie.
