Hey Peter! Not related to this video, but did you end up ditching the BDCW Cylinder Guard after the Mid Atlantic trip? I'm considering getting one for my GSA and would be nice to hear your feedback. I saw that you didn't use their crash bar reinforcement. Did the Cylinder Guard ended up hitting the cylinder head? The gap between these two parts is really small and the OEM crash bars have a tendency do bend towards the cylinder head after a tip over, right?
The Black Dog Cylinder guards that I used for my recent BDR trip were excellent. I drop my bike 3 times on this trip and the cylinder guards were dented but there were no damage to my cylinder heads. Black dog cylinder guards were a great investment for me. I would recommend them to anyone riding a GS and off roading.
Nice video, just finished pairing everything. I have the Zumo XT, IPhone, and older Sena 10S combo. Out of curiousity, is that an SW Motech tank bag? If so, which one? Been looking at Pro series Micro, and the next size up. (I believe daypack?)
Always best to remove all historic connections from all the bluetooth devices before you start and then ensure all software is up to date. People have had nightmares connected all this stuff together, myself included. You can also connect the tft of the bmw at the same time, enabling you to use the whizz wheel on the handle bars to make and receive phone calls and to listen/select music thereby not having to touch the zumo screen or take hands off of the bars.. How do I know? spent loads of time in my garage playing with the set up. Whizz wheel won't do the volume though, sadly. Ride safe👍
Hi GSD32i - Thank you for the insights. I couldn't agree with you more about starting off with no existing connections. By the way would love to also connect to the TFT and use wiz Wheel. Can you share insights if there is anything special to do in order to add that connection. Also, - I am a big fan of your RUclips channel. Thanks for putting out great informational content on Motorcycles stuff. Cheers!
@@sire45 - Sorry, I do not, but have you checked out GSD321 RUclips Channel. He has a video on Apple CarPlay device on his GS. Its worth watching. Good luck.
I just purchased this helmet Klim TK 1200 helmet recently. The helmet is a full carbon fiber shell in a modular design and weighs 3.26 lbs. It is Equipped with a Transitions face shield and Pinlock lens. I have only been riding with it for a short time, but already very impressed with it and has quickly become one of my favorite helmets.
Great job Peter! Thanks for sharing to fellow riders!
Great video thanks for sharing 👍 cheers Karl in Oz 😊
Nice informative vid, thanks. Just wanna add E in BLE is for Energy
Can you control the music directly from the garmin unit?
Yes sir - Once the Garmin, Smartphone and Communications device is paired, you can control, Music, podcasts, Phone calls through the Garmin Zumo XT.

@@GhostRider-69 I am sat in my garage at the moment just finishing the video for the whizz wheel. should be out tomorrow. 👍
@@gsd32i - OK, great. I will definitely keep an eye out for it. Thanks
What if you want CarPlay to connect and play your music?
I couldn't get CarPlay to connect.
This is not a CarPlay method. Only BT and BTE connections between these three devices.
@@GhostRider-69 Any ideas on how to link all 4? I tried but I always lose one of the four.
