You are a fantastic storyteller. I have 3 questions. 1) If you could go back in time in Scottish history, which event would you go back to witness and why? 2) or, who would you go back to meet, what would you say and why? 3) or, if you could change just 1 event to turn the tide in favor of Scotland and out of English rule, what would it be and how would you go about it?
I'll contact you when I build my time travel machine. The tardis was occupied.
Your answers would make 3 great videos though I have to say, all of your videos are fantastic. I listen to your stories often. Thank you very much.

As a Flemish history nerd with an enormous love for Scotland, I really love your video's! Especially, offcourse, the ones with a link to Flanders 😉
Fun fact about te battle you mentioned in the beginning that makes it even more amazing: a huge part of the Flemish army weren't even trained footsoldiers. They were serfs and craftsmen! They were being seriously abused and downtrodden by the rich merchants they worked for, who's power and wealth knew no bounderies and who were the best of friends with the French King. They rebelled against their employers/abusers and around the same time the Count of Flanders, who didn't agree with the privileges these merchants were given, rebelled against the French King. He was captured by the French, and in response to that the Counts' family and loyal vassals openly chose to side with the serfs and the craftsmen in their rebellion. An alliance between the highest nobility and the poorest of the poor! Such an alliance had never happend before, let alone it being a successful one!
We still celebrate their victory on the 11th of July, the Day of the Flemish Community.
