This is the best chinese drama have ever come across after years of watching chinese dramas. Am very happy that touba jun and Weiyoung are real life couples. Their love is so real

Basic English Summary:
1. Since Weiyoung was the only one there when the previous king died, she has to make the witness statement passing the crown on to the designated prince. Tuoba Yu uses the safety of her family to threaten Weiyoung into announcing that he was the one the King declared the to be the next ruler (the true heir was actually Tuoba Jun). Weiyoung has no choice but to promise to make the announcement.
2. Juntao runs off to get a doctor. Princess is seriously injured, and tells Minde to forget her if she dies and find another wife candidate. Minde says it's not happening. Princess goes "thats the fifth kiss" and then spits out blood and passes out (TT_TT).
3. Meanwhile, Tuoba Jun is getting tortured in a dungeon. Tuoba Yu tells Tuoba Jun that the king was already dead. Jun immediately blames Tuoba Yu, but Yu claims that he did not do it (he didn't directly do it, but the eunuch that killed him was one of Yu's servants). Jun says that the heavens will never accept Tuoba Yu as king. Yu only replies that "the winners write history". He then goes on about how he will make Weiyoung his queen after he is crowned.
4. The king's advisers ask why Yu has confined Jun. Yu then frames Jun for conspiring with Rouran to destroyed the kingdom and calls Changle (who is Jun's wife) to bring evidence. After Weiyoung makes the forced announcement, all of the advisers are forced to accept Yu as king (some of you probably are criticizing Weiyoung for not announcing the true heir, but in her situation, there was no other option - if she had announced the truth, Yu would have basically killed everyone there).
5. Tuoba Yu asks her if she is still thinking of Jun - and tries in vain to convince her that he can give her more than Jun. Weiyoung counters by saying that Jun would never threaten her with her family.
6. Weiyoung, after learning from her family that Jun was framed for conspiring with Rouran runs to meet Yu. She tells him that she will reveal the truth to the world, but he just scoffs saying that no one will believe her (and even if some people do, he can just kill them).
7. Weiyoung passes a note onto her mom as her family is forced to leave. They are searched as they leave, but the smart Granny hides it.
8. Yay princess is still alive. Awww Minde stated that when he found out that she was a girl, he was secretly very happy, but pretended to be annoyed at her because he did not know how to deal with his feelings. He then tells her he loves her and that she must wake up. The doctor has done all he can do, but doesn't know if she will wake up. Chende managed to escape but is seriously injured.
9. Changxi (4th sis) passes Weiyoung's secret message onto Juntao.
10. Changle has a victim mentality and blames Jun for everything and begins torture. Weiyoung is brought to watch. Yu uses Jun's safety to force Weiyoung to marry him. She gives him 3 rules - one~state the innocence of her father, two~stop harming her family, three let Jun go.
11. Weiyoung tells Jun that it is the end - that he will have to live on without her, because she has to become Yu's queen. She pretends to have fallen in love with Yu to make Jun hate her and let her go. Jun doesn't believe her. Both of them are somewhat destroyed by the encounter.
12. Changle comes in and is madly happy that Jun is finally experiencing the same feelings of abandonment that she had. She then orders the torturers to hit Jun.
Sorry for this late summary - but wow these last two episodes were really dark and depressing...

W: Today is my last time coming to see you. Very soon, I am going to become Tuoba Yu's queen.
J: You can't.

W: But I'm tired, I can't continue on. We've fought for so long, but in the end, what have we received? Only pain. J: He is not king. He is a father murdering bastard. And our promise (to stay together forever), our hardships getting to this point, have you forgotten it all? You are the person I love most. We promised to never split apart. Have you forgotten it? HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN IT?
W: I REMEMBER! BUT WHAT DOES IT MATTER EVEN IF I REMEMBER? Those promises, if you want to remember them, then you can remember them forever. Right now, you are nothing. The King is god - he can give me everything, but what can you give me? (takes stone) The only thing you can give me is this - two chunks of rock. (tosses rock)
J: Weiyoung, what are you doing.
W: Your battle with Tuoba Yu is over. You lost. You completely lost. Under the brush of the historian, Yu is the rightful king, however you are a traitor that conspires with Rouran. Listen to me, your end will be -(uhh idk how to translate some of this but essentially a dreadful end) looked down upon by everyone.
J: It's not like this. It's not like this. Weiyoung, you are tricking me right?
W: Yes, I have tricked/lied to you before. Remember what happened during the investigation (when she was in the secret chamber with Tuoba Yu). I fell in love with him (Tuoba Yu).
J: (Laughs madly) Weiyoung, you are lying to me. You are lying, I won't believe you.

Anna Vu Finding actual subbers for historical dramas is hard, cause the language is somewhat hard to understand, even for native speakers. While I am technically Chinese, my actual Chinese ability is probably at a 3rd grade level. Hopefully my translation of that scene makes sense and is somewhat helpful - it is a pretty important scene after all. I admire your persistence despite not understanding the language. I would probably have given up long ago XD

Luo jin acting is superb. It's amazing how he puts all kind of feelings (love, innocence, brave, hate and more) to every scene. On the contrary it's Tiffany Tang, because she is a little plane in her acting...

This is the second drama series I watched with Tiffany in a lead role and I find her a bit bland in her acting in both drama series. She does her job ok, but I find she is only an average actress. She just doesn't quite get into the distinctiveness of her character like a good actor should. The actress (Li Xin Ai) for Chang Le is actually a better actress than Tiffany.

Tuoba Yu can write a book on how to lie properly, he has told so many lies throughout this series, also how is spinning a blind-folded person a sort of torture, I could not stop laughing at that point. Also Luo Jin deserves a oscar for his acting here.

It's the sensory deprivation of the removing sound and sight which, when done for long enough, causes the brain to have trouble orienting itself. This can cause things like hallucinations and severe anxiety as the mind has trouble keeping a grip on reality. Then the spinning on top of that would really be additionally disorienting likely.

Hi guys didn't see any comprehensive English summary so here is my attempt >< Sorry for the weak synopsis:
1. Tuoba Yu blackmails Wei Young using the Li Family, making her change the late emperor's decree from making Tuoba Jun the new king to making Yu the king instead, and because of her filial piety, she has no choice but to agree.
2. Meanwhile in that little cottage, Min De is looking after the princess, and is shocked by her seemingly last sweet and sorrowful words, and cried out to have her saved(calling a doctor).
3. Scene change into the prison, Yu tells The stubborn Jun that he has no other way to go, and that he is doomed. He also tells Jun that Wei Young has feelings for Yu now, which Jin immediately laughs at saying that he is deceiving himself. Yu, angered by his resilience, asks him to wait and see as Wei Young will very soon be his queen, and Jun screams "How dare you blackmail her! How dare you! Don't YoY dare hurt her!!!"(OMG SWEETTTT)
4. Scene change, As Yu goes into court, he is faced by the questioning of a few of the scholars, saying that the DO not believe him I be the new king, and that they don't understand why the late emperor suddenly died. Yu, being smart, uses Chang Le to make it seem that Jun was the one who killed the King with the Rouran empire(under Min De's father's rule) by making her show obviously fake proof of lettering, and the scholars still do not believe. He then used Wei Young as proof that he is to be made New king, and she uses the late emperor's seal to seal her reconfigured words.
5. Yu re-invites the Li family to "speak" with Wei Young, with Chang Xi finally realising in her dodo bird head that Wei Young really loved her, and she says sorry for being such a brat, and they say their last goodbyes to Wei Young before leaving the palace. At that point, Wei Young passes on a secret letter to her Mother, which her Mother instinctively understands. The Li Family then tried to hide the letter from the officials who did a body check to Ensure they didn't take anything with them.
6. Turns out, the letter is written for Jun Tao and Chen De(forgot his name oops), and they receive the letter from Chang Xi.
7. In the cottage, Min De wonders when the princess would wake up from what appears to be a comatose, being all sad because he kinda took her for granted (poor soul).
8. Back in the palace, Yu tells Wei Young Jun is in prison, and asks if she wants to see him, which she is disgusted at hearing, and expressed her disgust at family torturing each other. Meanwhile in the dungeon, Chang Le lets off her anger by torturing him, but obviously, she is kinda bitter, because Jun is unfazed by her. Just as she continues her torture, Yu comes in with Wei Young, and Wei Young tries to stop the Guards. Of course, Jun has IS ears eyes and mouths plugged so he effectively cannot hear Nor see anything, and doesn't see how Wei Young tried to stop them for him. Yu, contented by her need to save Jun, leaves. Wei Young then chases after him, telling him what he wants. He smiles and said My queen of course. She comments that he is again blackmailing her, to which he slyly says that he does not blackmail, merely let her into prison to see him, and that if he were really evil, such a useless bum like Jun would have been dead by now. 9. Scene to dungeon, Jun begs for water, which Wei Young sadly gives him. She slowly takes off his plugs, and consoles him, saying that he has been receiving a lot of pain. Jun sees her, and says he is fine, and in fact happy to see her. Wei Young starts tearing up, and she breaks up with him, claiming that he is useless to her, and she will marry Yu instead. Jun obviously shocked, says that Wei Young is lying, and that she doesn't need to heed to Yu's words, Yu cannot hurt him. Wei Young crying even more, says that she is sad that their selfish love created so much deaths, and that she is tired of it. She takes their momento of love and throws it, saying that their love is to be forgotten. Jun asks her how could she forget their vows to be with each other forever, to which she says she still remembers, yet so what if she does. She then says she has feelings for Yu, so you and I should part ways, and that Jun should live his own life well. Yu sees this and is bitterly happy.
10. In her room, Wei Young cries at the words she used to hurt him.
11. Jun is visibly shaken by Wei Young, and turns a little mad(crazy) when Chang Le tried to torture him into doing the wine drinking ceremony. ( his acting really touched my poor kokoro)

English summary
1. Weiyoung says the Emperor's last will on his deathbed is to have Tuoba Jun inherit the throne, and nothing he will do can change her from lying about the truth. Tuoba Yu says she has no choice, and brings in the Li family to threaten Weiyoung. Weiyoung says kill me and I still wouldn't lie about the throne succession, but Tuoba Yu strangles her "mom" instead. Even though Elder Grandma Li tells her the Li family will not bow down to a man like that, Weiyoung says she cannot allow more harm to her family and gives in to Tuoba Yu.
2. Weiyoung agrees to Tuoba Yu's request at the promise he will not let any more harm come to her family.
3. Prince Yuan Lie brings Princess Di to a deserted cottage where Jun Tao is, for refuge. He tells her everything will be okay, but Princess Di unsure if she will still be by Yuan Lie's side much longer, gives him her bracelet as something to remind him of her.She says she used to envy when he carried around Weiyoung's hairpin, but Yuan Lie tells her she has to wear this everyday herself and she is the only love of his life and woman he will marry. She is happy to hear this, but still passes out
4. Tuoba Yu visits Tuoba Jun in prison. Tuoba Jun asks about Weiyoung, and Tuoba Yu says she is fine but it's the Emperor who is no longer around. Jun accuses him of killing the Emperor but Yu says he didn't deliver the kill it was the Emperor's side eunuch Zhong Ai who actually has been working for him for years. Yu says history will have it that the Crown Prince (Jun's father) died for his crimes, while the Emperor died of sickness, because "history is written by the victors, after all". And Tuoba Yu himself is about to become king. Tuoba Jun says the Emperor would've never passed the throne to a man like him, and Yu says that's true but Weiyoung is willing to change the will to help him ascend the throne, not out of blackmail but love. She will become his queen as well.
5. At court, Tuoba Yu takes over and when questioned by the officials why he had Tuoba Jun immediately thrown into prison after the Emperor's death, Tuoba Yu accuses him of plotting with the Ruorans to overthrow the kingdom. Changle comes in to back these claims with "evidence" of Tuoba Jun's "crimes". Weiyoung was summoned to prove the Emperor's will as she was beside the Emperor during his last moments, and she "confirms" the throne was to be passed onto Prince of Nan An (Tuoba Yu), even presenting the Emperor's Jade seal as concrete evidence of his will.
6. Tuoba Yu visits Weiyoung and questions on what Tuoba Jun can do for her - which is nothing. She says at least Tuoba Jun will never threaten her especially with her family's lives. She calls him manipulative and ruthless for harming/killing so many to get to where he is.
7. Li family reveals to Weiyoung that Tuoba Jun has been convicted and locked up in prison for crimes even Changle has admitted to. She returns to Tuoba Yu and tells him she will reveal the truth about the throne succession, but Tuoba Yu says no one will believe her and furthermore Tuoba Jun's crimes is backed up by "evidence" so nothing he can do about it.
She storms out and returns to her family, and tells them Tuoba Yu and co. will not get away with this. Emperor's men arrives to order Li family out, but before they leave Weiyoung passes a paper to mom secretly.
8. Prince Yuan Lie is by Princess Di's side and plants a kiss on her. Tells her he will give her a kiss everyday and this is the "6th kiss" (they like to count their kisses). Although she cannot move it is implied she can hear him as a tear falls down her face upon his words.
Cheng De arrives and Jun Tao asks what happened and he says he was being pursued by Tuoba Yu's men. Changxi comes with the paper Weiyoung gave to her mom, which informs Jun Tao that she is now being controlled/held captive by Tuoba Yu.
9. Changle visits Tuoba Jun in prison. He knows she betrayed him, and she says it's not considered betraying since he never once treated nor loved her as his wife even though she loved him with all her heart. He says it's not called love, as she ever wants is to possess and have things go her way, and when it doesn't she will manipulate and sabotage others. She then commences his "torture" (by spinning him around and round? I don't get it.. if anyone can enlighten me please do)
10. Basically Tuoba Yu threatens Weiyoung to marry him to become his queen, after seeing the state Tuoba Jun is in Weiyoung agrees to marry him, but under three conditions: 1) to clear her father and Liang kingdom for the unjust accusations and crimes 2) stop implicating the Li family into their matters 3) let Tuoba Jun go. He agrees and presents an extra condition: she must be willing to marry Tuoba Yu out of her own will.
11. Weiyoung visits Tuoba Jun in prison. She tells him she is happy to see him and he must live well, but this is the last time they will ever see each other for she is to become Tuoba Jun's queen soon. He tells her they must be strong and will overcome this together, but she says she is tired and willing to do as Tuoba Yu says because too many people have already fallen or become implicated in this conflict.
Tuoba Jun then asks what about them, their love, struggles and promises they've made to each other, to come all this way? But Weiyoung retorts by saying it hasn't gotten them very far has it? In fact Tuoba Yu as the Emperor has been able to fulfill her biggest wish to clear her father and kingdom's wrongful accusations and crimes. As for Tuoba Jun, he is nothing but a mere criminal in prison right now, and all he has ever really given her were nothing but two stupid half stones. With nothing left to fight for, she advises he should give up as Tuoba Yu is the rightful heir anyway and Tuoba Jun is a betrayer who plotted with the Ruorans. Still thinking it was Tuoba Yu who forced her to say these things, she convinces Tuoba Jun that she indeed fell for Tuoba Yu during the time they almost died in the trap. Tuoba Jun turns hysterical, claiming he will not believe her lies. Seeing how deluded Tuoba Jun has become, Yu leaves.
12. Changle pays him another visit in prison and tells him now he knows the feeling/pain of being given up on by the one you love most. Now that they can finally relate to each other for once, she says this calls for a celebration and should drink to this. She shoves wine down his throat, but for some reason he is giddy about it. She orders him to get beat up.
