That's the most badass entry in whole GOT and HOD
It was the stupidest. The moment I saw it, I could only consider the lives she was trampling, which must have consisted of dozens of men, women and perhaps even children, all so she can make a statement that she isn't their prisoner, while not doing anything remotely effective after. She's an impulsive fool who continues to show she didn't need to be Queen, because of how she shows she would've treated her subjects. The point of a King or Queen was the belief in the false statement that "God" chose to guide and govern the people, not stomp on them as they please.
For all those wondering why she didn't just roast them all, she later said to daemon and rhaenerys that it wasn't her war to start. She just needed to deliver the information of the betrayal to them.
The real reason is the writers wanted this cool scene despite the fact that it makes no sense and if she acted in the logical manner the show would have pretty much ended right there. She interrupted the coronation of the King, killed who knows how many supporters of the King, and then threatened to roast the entire royal family. That is a declaration of war. She started the war with her actions.

King Viserys's biggest mistakes were marrying Alicent and not letting Daemon and Rhaenyra marry.
His biggest mistake was not naming Aegon Heir when he was already practically BEGGING for a son, and letting his daughter commit high treason three times over with no consequences.

But without hesitation, she steps in front of her son, whom she has an estranged relationship with, when faced with a huge firebreathing dragon. Always find it interesting how the dragon just casually busts out of the dragon pit that was made for containing dragons.
Because meleys was arguably the strongest dragon at the time besides vhagar, she wasnt called the red queen because she was red, she was called thay because of how many dragons she felled. In the battles of sahjorn and mutsdane she literally killed three all her her own in a 1v3. Which is why in the books thia didnt happen but Halaena says in the books there is a beast.. a queen beneath the boards.. they thought she meant rhanerya but halaena meant Meleys, as the dragon farcst ' what they called the dragon jail essentially ' held meleys was directly beneath the throne room. Meleys was literally a monster. And only Rhaenys could command her. The only thing that saved sunfyre from meleys was vhaegar.
