Imagine if more Star Wars sets were 1) this cheap, 2) this functional and detailed, and 3) had so much value to offer. Even if we ignore the 3-in-1 aspect, this is a really great set.
Seriously, imagine if Hirachou’s (or however you spell his name) chibi scale star fighters became more standardized.
Controversial Opinion : this guy's alternate face should be the face for the Jang minifig
(with Curtis Bolt from Ultra Agent's Hair piece)
[Everyone liked that]
-Task failed successfully
The rover just feels like a lived-in home.
Good thing or bad thing?
Anthony Andrade yes, but actually no
Like where Rex, Gregor, and Wolffe lived in Rebels.
@@turkeysammich7629 Ah yeah, the modified AT-TE
Big Vehicle Creator sets in a nutshell:
Main build: Big Vehicle
2nd Build: Structure
3rd Build: Small Vehicle
Or normal vehicles sometimes
Yeah there is somewhat of a pattern with these sets. I don't think thats a bad thing though.
Don’t forget the occasional mech/robot
So true
B model is made to play the events of The Martian book/movie in my opinion, that's why there are so many mixed things
This, and it's pretty spot on.
And the main model is an homage to the film "Moon", I'm pretty sure.
I agree, also I think the rover it almost like what the Frankenrover he made would look like
I don’t know why, but the rover reminds me of Rex, Wolffe and Gregor’s AT-TE from Rebels.
Because you are a fine example of humanity, that's why
It might be because of the lived-in feel of the Rover
A very similar concept. Although with them it was definitely about surviving. This also has some implied scientific research going on.
bc it has 6 wheels like the at-te and the pilot window is similar
Very fine indeed
The doors in B model are great, sold the whole set for me.
ikr
Yasss!!! It's the kind of door that would only exist when you have limited pieces.
Leonardo Ceballos absolutely I actually think it’s a very strong secondary build; I would like to see maybe a bigger version someday as it’s own set
This is by far the coolest 3 in 1 set I've seen.
Agreed
Nah, the camper was best one we got. Amazing details, solid price and good playspace and playfeatures.
@@Lordodragonss but does it have a vic viper? ;)
mine is the 'Vacation Getaways' set from years ago. I had wanted to get it for ages, and finally found it on Ebay.
My favorite is still the cheap train set from 2017. It would be great if we ever get a minifig-scale 3-in-1 train set.
The vic viper jet gotta be my favourite creator mode ever
Jang, you're like the Doug Demuro of lego: you may not be the first one to review a lego set, but once your review is up it's like seeing the set for the first time, because you show us all the details. Thanks!
I think jang just sold me on getting this thing. The main build is so incredibly well done but honestly the selling point for me is the alien and the mini rover
So many nods to classic space sets in this rover. So much playability without using play features. Non-themed space adventure for open imagination play. Also, it's the color scheme of the RV set from a couple years ago... That's hilarious. RV on mars.
The big alien looks like a cancelled mixel, or like Kraw the mixel's cousin
😂
Dude, yes.
It literally instantly reminded me of the Lego Mixels line because it's literally.
This summer wave for Creator just hits everything out of the park! Such amazing sets!
I very much agree
Creator is the goat of Lego themes
I love the second build shown here, it really reminds me of classic space stuff, or stuff i made myself as a kid...
The Space Explorer Rover looks like a great set, I'm thinking about getting it. Good Review of it.
Do it! I already have it, and the build is rather satisfying
This set reminds me of classic space and I absolutely love it. Tons of stuff for kids to play with
I had this on my wishlist for a long time. I love the Space theme sets and this build looks really nice! Thanks for sharing, Jang!
Glad Jang showed the big rover has a place to store the little blue rover on top. It's not shown in the instructions or box art. You can place it facing forward, backwards and even to either side.
This man is literally my childhood I remember watching his Lego reviews every morning and falling in love with Lego
First thought was Jedi Starfighter then got a Colonial Viper vibe.A great set.
I was instantly hooked on the main model and still have it to build. I’m going to make a small dio with it and really looking forward to creating that. Thank you for the review I think this will go down as one of the most underrated sets of the year.
Nice Spectrum Sign!
the big rover didn't have that
"i am getting this" when u saw the pictures. now i see what the deal is with the 2 bigger sets i REALLY like them.
thanks for the great reveiw
I would love to see a review of the Creator Pirate Ship 31109. That’s my favorite Creator set.
I really like the design of these builds. It's like a modern day throwback on the lego space stuff from the 80's, which is just a style of ships I like because those were the legos I got from my dad when I was old enough to play with legos.
I love the 'C' build as it looks like the kind of things I would (and have the ability to) build myself.
It has a wonderful "Lego" feel to it as it's not purpose-built but done with pieces on hand, just like we would do.
That is super cool! I love all the small details that make it look more than it's worth! This is actually really good for $40, I like what I'm seeing!
Now i cant unsee the dancing crab comparison
This reminds me of the large three in one camper van from a year or two back.
The colour is the same: red, blue and white, same windscreen pieces and also both mobile homes.
Great! I hope to see the other 3-in-1 sets of this summer as well.
I love you Jang, you were my go to lego review channel when I was a little one. Keep doing what you’re doing. You are part of my childhood❤️
Jang, Thank you so much for your, awesome vids. You got me back into Legos 7 years ago, and all I have to say is... thank you. 😊😊😊😊
That crane on the back makes me happy. Almost identical to the cranes on my trucks in the Army 👍
I'm glad I'm not the only one that got "The Martian" vibes from that mobile base. Really reminded me of his travel to the pickup location across the valley.
I got this for my birthday awhile ago and is still one of my favorite sets
Man that’s the first time I’ve heard anyone mention a hexbug in years.... ahhh nostalgia perfection
The main build reminds me of the vehicles in the movie 'Moon' with Sam Rockwell.
Love that film. That’s what I thought of too.
I really like the viper style craft! And the second built uses those 1x2 bracket pieces so clever!! I never thought of using the lip that sticks out a bit as a guide for sliding doors! Definately gonna use that technique! Great set overall and very nice review!
@Jangbricks Haha @25:06 how did you know I was losing focus!! I like this set now I can see the living arrangements. Kinda grungy cool. & i like the colour scheme.
That little ship is my favourite part, it's awesome
Notice how the color scheme of the Rover is similar to the Caravan's from Vacation Getaways 31052 (White, Red, and Blue)
Lego could easily sell that C model by itself as a set with a couple of ajustments
I just had a bit of a haul of retired sets, and this was one of them. Thanks for the good review!
This feels kinda like a return to classic space. No combat, just exploration and discovery. I like it.
I love this set! The mini-rover is what truly won me over.
Classic Space themed sets is my go-to. This one and the droid set are closest to what we can get for the classic space and it is awesome.
It’s Phil from the Crab Nebula!!😃
No one ever talks about how much Jang’s background music slaps
The value here is huge though, right? If you consider that 40 Euro doesn't get you much these days anymore in the LEGO world, having the option between a space and a pretty large space explorer rover is really nice. Also quite surprised this Rover has way more functionality than the official LEGO Space one that felt a little barebones.
Value: very high. I like it more after the review than I thought.
I've been circling around this set for a while and didn't want to buy it before watching your review. Now I can buy it, thanks! =)
That alien bug HAS to be a reference to Galaxy Squad
The rover is up there with classic space sets! I absolutely love it and dream of seeing a rather large roaming space lab one day.
Great review. On sale (currently, in fact) I'd be tempted to buy two. One for the main rover build, and one for the Viv Viper + plenty of extra parts for the imagination. I'm very impressed.
Wal Mart currently has this set on sale for 32 bucks
Thank you for the quality review Jang. I've been waiting for this one!
Mats mission vibes!
Definitely a step up from a typical Creator 3-in-1. Delivers quite well!
I love space habitats, had to buy two copies of this as soon as it came out! I really like the A and B builds and am thinking of how to 'finish' the structure more to fill out the suggestion of more space and add a roof
I love how model c uses the snot technique
I think this set's jet thing is the coolest model of the set
The B model looks like something I would build when I was 6
And that's why it's so awesome! It SCREAMS built with whatever pieces were around. Love it.
The rover and the habitation center are giving me huge 'The Martian' vibes
Same
I like the main build and the habitat build. I wish you could have the "hexbug" with the main build too. It's a great set. Especially for the price. I might have to get this.
And the latest version of the Clone Turbo Tank is by far, the...Oh, wait, wrong theme... Umm, as I was saying, this is an absolutely excellent in a half 3 in 1 set! I disagree with JANG's opinion about build #2. At a glance, it does look "cobbled" together, but seeing it in greater detail, I feel the designer did actually have an overall plan from the get-go and kept to that all the way through. I think the door, while kinda fat, is absolutely brilliant!
Jangbricks, ur amazing, always will be
This is the sort of LEGO I like to see. Non licensed original ideas. 😊
The color stripes on the side make it look like a space RV.
This has more pieces than the grieveous star fighter and it is half the price I like that(Don't say "bUt ThAt'S a LiCeNseD sEt" Licensing isn't $40)
This set is, aside from the wheels, chock full of cheap pieces in cheap colors. This is not a bad thing. It gives us a lot a Lego for little money.
I love this set, have bought 3. I’m keeping them all as the Rover. I added more controls and more detail to the undercarriage, interior and exterior.
Jang: I assume this is some kind of water filtration system
Lego, who just put wheels on the back for laughs: "Sure, sure.... Let's go with that!"
0:27 literally my first creator set was bought because I thought I had the option in 2013
Your a little to late warn me there buddy 😂
Oh crap. I thought i was over my craving for a lego set. Been just watching these videos for fun and all. But this set. Yes this one please if it's available in any stores where i live. Atleast i'm going to be on a lookout for this.
For me he's a space tourist. Travelling in his space-caravan sightseeint the space canyons and spacebushcrafting his time away with his space doggo.
First jang video I watched in a couple years. Still cools :D
Super cool set
A definite buy for me
Jang- the vic viper appeard in the lego adventure book just if you didint know.
Wow! This set looks much better than I thought! Definitely gonna buy this!
I don't know why I'm in love with the B build.
Because it looks like the things we'd build as a kid with whatever late we had lying around. It's very "Lego".
The arms have to be longer and agree what Jang says about the door that it should go downwards if it possible to make a staircase inside of it. Then the gap in the roof perhaps could have been avoided.
I’ve had it for a month it’s a great set! If you have the money you should buy it, it’s also fun to build
The '3D' camera package on the top of the main building seems like it would be especially useful to scout out potholes or dangerous terrain that would otherwise scuttle the vehicle. If it's in Space, far away from a tow-truck--not getting stuck seems like a life or death situation.
What I like about this set, I get a very old school vibe from it. Especially with the use of those side windows that were pretty much the standard when I was growing up with Lego (90's).. Many pieces here that remind me of the old Space Legos in black and green.
Just a feeling I get looking at these 3 models... maybe that's not really the case.
I think when they make these 3-in-1 sets, that only include 1 minifig, they should include two ehads that have two faces per head... that way, if by any chance you're interested in having two of these, you could easily have different faces. Detail.
A really good review as always Jang! Love your Channel! Could you review the 2020 Ninjago Destiny’s Bounty next? I’m curious what you think about it
11:46 from that angle, the front bit on top looks like the Number 5 robot from Short Circuit
I am stuck on old school classic space, but I must say, ever since it started, this new space series looks pretty awesome to me! Rocket ships, earth base, rocket transport, the modular space station and looking at the green creatures with this set, we are not in Kansas anymore...
Maybe nobody cares, but I had some sort of revelation with this set, here’s my story:
I’ve been a Lego fan since childhood, although I don’t usually buy a lot of sets. I have a small collection of, like, 6 sets. I have a lot of self-control when I see one that I like; I think: “I love Legos, but there are more important stuff I have to buy”. So, I just moved to the US (side note: I couldn’t bring any of my Lego sets with me) and I’ve been seeing this set in Walmart for like 3 weeks and I can’t stop thinking about it, day and night. I love it, all the details, the kind of pieces, all 3 buildings, etc. And I was wondering: “why I’m so into this specific set?” And I was watching this guy and the moment he was talking about the SINGLE mini figure 22:49 and said: “this guy is so alone, like in the frontier days” (or something like that) I realized: “wow, that’s why I want this set so badly: I feel alone, I still don’t have many friends here, I’m adapting to this new place, I’m exploring this new world and I’ve been at home most of the time because of the pandemic, but been here means my life is moving on, just like having a mobile home. That’s why I want it, because I’m feeling alone, like the minifig”.
Man, I never expected to have this sort of epiphany from a Lego set, even less from a YT video about a Lego set. Gosh, that was intense. Maybe the things we desire talk about the way we feel and what we lack more than we realize. Anyway, I couldn’t help myself, I really wanted to share this with you all. 🙃
This is one of the only sets I’m considering getting 3 of to have all modes together
I get a lot of Space Police vibes from this, and I love Space Police. So a definite pick up for me.
The 2nd build could see as something used in Star Wars maybe, something on a asteroid or other spot used else were, some cool detail to all the builds in this 3 in 1 set. Other then that could see this placed in a cool looking space theme area.
Habitat build is reminiscent of the Micronauts Astro Station from 40+ years ago.
If I was smaller, and a lot more time for Lego, this would have been a dream to get.
Way cooler than the latest Space theme
Lets go jangbricks got his comments back
That second build is funky
you kinda sound like Bob Ross, love it!
This set is the first non SW set that appeals to me in years
**Gets Lego Creator 3-in-1 Vacation Getaways flashbacks**
I saw this at Walmart yesterday and was debating on buying it I am definitely buying it and I'm buying 2 so I can have the A and B model
This would be a great thing to get like, two of and then moc a custom second car for the main rover.
That Zone of the Enders reference 😏
Think I found the basis for a carrier for my Halo minifigures. Perhaps combining two of these sets would do
The bigger alien kind of gives me Phineas and Ferb vibes
I really like all 3 builds
