This video will help you plug it in and get on the internet, but does not include recommended security settings. Please use this video as a simple reference guide and implement at your own risk.

I have an Ethernet port in my bedroom where I am trying to hook up this device. My main router is in my living room hooked to the wall. In every room in my house I have an Ethernet port . Does this connect to the downstairs box?
Good video. I just got this to install at my elderly parents' house tomorrow. Question - in "security" settings, if I pick "disabled," no password is necessary to access wifi? They live in the country with no nearby neighbors, so anything that makes it easier to connect is welcome (and will save me a "tech support" call lol).

Pretty much. But the modem router combo typically don't have the ability to do MAC cloning.

My only issue is that I cannot change the IP address of the router. I went to conifuration and changed the router address and clicked save then it said please wait, then of course it kicked me out then i connected back up to it and it still has the previous ip address. I need to change it cause i am installing 2 of them so of course they should have different ips. please help. thank you

Does this have to be plugged into another router such as Comcast router or can you just connect it to a gaming console so you can play better ?
It works faster if you connect this router to 4 other routers, then you can connect via Bluetooth for "Extreme" speed.

Yes there needs to be an ethernet cable going from your modem to the WAN/Internet port on the router to get on the internet.

@@christabush1804 yes and no. It has to stay connected to the ethernet cable for it to work. However, if there is another ethernet port that you can connect the router to in that other room then yes you can move it into another room.
How do set it up if you dont have wifi already because you dont have a working router yet?
If you have this router, it has WiFi that comes with it. That is the wifi you will use to set it up.

If you lag a lot it might be because of your data plan, however, it also could be that the dual modem that your isp provided you could be inhibiting your data plan's full potential. It might help your lag, but it might not. I'd suggest to look at your data plan first, and if you see that your data plan should be able to provide you with sufficient speed then you can try investing in a new router.

What if you don’t have a modem. I’m moving into my apartment tomorrow with free internet and they just told me I just need a router
They must provide you with an ethernet drop that you can plug into your router. That sounds like a unique situation. They should be able to help you out.

When it takes you to the blue part where is says pasword you put admin where do i find that pasword on my router?? Please struggling here thanks
The default password is admin. If that isn't working for you, you can reset the router to factory default settings like explained in the video. If you can login with that password, click on the "configuration" tab on the black bar. Then on the left menu, go to "administration" and then click on "password". That's where you change this password.

Yep. Just make sure you connect to the routers WiFi. It will not work over your data connection.

I'm so confused w this thing.
I got this router because the wifi isn't great in my room since our router is in my moms room
and it says all I gotta do is plug it into my wall and go online to set it up, and it'll be good but it's not working
No matter what I type in, it still says no internet…
I leave my passwords off since I don't live in city

I really regret buying this, I’ve done everything up to leaving comments on their Instagram. Router doesn’t work and customer support seems to be non existent
