    I can't believe you're the only person I've seen who's reviewed a groupset and has said how big SRAM/Shimano hydraulic shifters are! Good to see a brand making nice small shifters, its why I've been using mechanical disc brakes, to avoid the massive shifters!

    I have the rim brake version on my tandem. Wireless was complete game changer for installing on a tandem. I agree about the buttons on right lever. I have a problem with my hands going numb and I have a little problem feeling the shifts. Have to be very deliberate with the pressing of the buttons. One interesting note, I was able to use a 11x40 rear cassette by removing a little plastic nut from B screw so it would screw in further and give me a little more clearance. Love the tortoise!

    I run a 13 speed rear cassette from rotor and a 12s chain. Needed a 2mm spacer to get clearance but works good so far as a 2x13.

    I keep old inner tubes around for instances like shifter slipping. Cut a peice of the inner tube and wrap it around the bar prior to mounting the shifter.

    Nice runthrough of the reality of living with the Wheeltop system. You mention that the battery level via App is... well... meh ;-) Does it pair correctly with a head unit? In particular does it provide useful information about battery status? Less important, does it show gears correctly?

    • @FullBeansCyclingCompany
      @FullBeansCyclingCompany  3 месяца назад

      Thanks! I did connect it briefly with my Wahoo, but I've never found it particularly useful and didn't run it long enough to verify if it was any more accurate than the app. It's a pretty minor issue overall, I just use it until the mech flashes red and then charge it.

    • @TimR123
      @TimR123 2 месяца назад

      @@FullBeansCyclingCompany Interesting. Is that flashing light obvious or do you make a habit to check? On the LTWOO I've worked with, it is very subtle and I barely ever see a light. So I've failed to get in the habit of looking for it.

    Para quem como eu, tem uma boa bike com travões de aro, se quiser comprar uma nova com travões de disco e, manter ou ir para coisa melhor, é preciso gastar um bom dinheiro...
    Não adianta comprar uma bike de disco inferior, vais para uma bike mais pesada e o peso extra ainda vai tar na parte pior, que é nas rodas...
    Este grupo para quem quer dar uma renovada na sua antiga bike de aro, sem ter de investir duro numa nova bike e, considerando que está cada vez mais difícil achar shimano ou sram eletrónico para shifters de cabo , é uma boa opção sem gastar um rim....
    Vais ter uma bike meia nova praticamente, as manetes são diferentes e as mudanças eletrónicas são muito agradáveis...
    O grupo é algo novo, as instruções são confusas, mas o hardware é bom, a app está a melhorar, tem muito potencial...

    On SRAM cassettes, the smallest sprocket is a 10t. However, a few folks, and Wheeltop too I believe, say this group isn't compatible with the 10t cog.
    Anybody know if it does work smoothly?

    I've installed 5 L-TWOO er9 and just bought an erx for 210eur. I've had 3 RDs die for no reason. These Chinese electronic groupsets are first generation. Do not expect them to perform reliably on par with Shimano, it's unreasonable. China is also known to release and iterate, because they work where the factory is, so they basically release beta products without telling you. At 600+ GBP, this (mini) groupset makes no sense whatsoever. Either pay 400 or max 500 USD for it, or get second hand Shimano or SRAM. Once you've bought a complete groupset, if you're not saving hundreds, then buy Shimano. At least for the next two years, giving them time to iterate the most obvious flaws (and there are plenty)

    You were given this for free, so the title effectively asks whether it is worth nothing?! Somehow, this isn't a good start for a video like this, and I couldn't bring myself to watch for long, even though I'm actually interested in the product. Somehow, it never felt as if I would get any useful information.
