  • Unboxing and Demo: Testing the Titan Roof Vent Fan for the First Time
Hello & Welcome back to Caravan Escapades and welcome to this Vlog. A couple of months ago just before we got the new Caravan. Titan Technology (Vent Fans) sent us a couple of products to try. The first one being a roof light vent fan, which is fully remote controlled reversible and has a load of settings. So great for use in the Caravan & Motorhome. Check out this Vlog to find out more, they also sent me a fridge vent fan kit which I will be installing and sharing a vlog with you all soon. Thanks to Titan for sending over these 2 products for review.

Cracking piece of kit James, I like the portable aspect of it. Very useful on warm days in Uk, full time aircon is expensive and unnecessary for many UK tourers. It would be possible to install a permanent fused, switched 12v supply and just plug in and play. 👍

Hi Colin, Thank you, Yes if it was permanently installed it would be quite straightforward to instal a fused switch. if going in the front vent, it should be quite easy to pick up a 12v feed from the lights,

This looks useful for those few hot days and nights that we hope to have. One question would you be able to have a fly screen across with it fitted?

Hi james. Great video, mate. Love the idea of the fan you can move around in different parts of the caravan. Hope you do an update in a month or 2s time. Cheers, Paul and Sarah

Just seen this! Looks a bit off just sat in the middle of the aperture? If you mounted it at the end opposite the hinges, (for maximum air flow in/out) then slide the roof vent fly screen to meet the long edge of the Titan unit, it might look a bit more ‘fitted’ 👍 not sure if that’s possible to do though 👍

Would the fan be more effective if it was moved across to one side and the blackout blind was moved across to close off the gap to the side?
Equally can you close off the gap the other way with the fly screen to reduce the ingress of bugs, especially when it’s running in extract mode.
An interesting product idea. I’ve by toying with something similar using a 12v computer fan as an extractor for our Swift Challenger 650 bathroom vent.

Hi Thanks for watching, That's not a bad idea actually, I am sure it would make it more affective, I will give it a go and share with the rest of you.

@CaravanEscapades101 thanks for the reply. I'd be interested to see the results. Maybe a bit of soft foam either side to seal it when using the bug screen could work too?

That's all very good but is it worth the price when you can just get a £30 quid tower fan that's more cheaper

I guess its down to personnel choice, You can use it as an extractor fan as well as using it to assist with the fridge vents.
