In a remote corner of Scotland lies Smoo Cave: rich in history and the setting of many legends.
👻👻 In the 1500’s the infamous highway man, McMurdo, is rumoured to have thrown his victims down the blow hole into the cave. 😱 😱 😱 Years later, two men are believed to have drowned in the cave, one of whom has never been found and haunts the cave to this day. 👻👻
Creepy stuff! But the natural beauty of this place can’t be denied! It’s our first time exploring the cave, and hopefully not our last… 😨🤪

The area that you were in for most of the video is called Mackay country , it's where the Mackay clan come's from. You can look up a clan map of Scotland to give you more information.
Its the ideal spot to stay and experience the sunrise with a hot coffee ❤

The last time I was in the cave (30 years ago) there were no tourists. The NC 500 has caused terrible commercialism in the area. But I guess all these "honey pots" protect the rest of the areas the internet tourists haven't discovered.

"Mh" in Scots gaelic is pronounced "v" - so "uamh" is pronounced "oo-aahve" which means "cave" in Scots Gaelic.
