I used ChatGPT to translate it for you (although I'm Frisian, it's not the type of Frisian we speak nowadays):
    With the music along
as melodies no longer shoot within
eyes keep touching in the dark
    tinnitus plagues eardrums
if you then want to be my drum meter
then we walk with high knees in sync
over the inner paths of Methuselah
    take me along the canals
    where we fish, swim
sun without arch our rain scorched
where we robbed nests in the reeds
wet socks clattering against the fence
startled by stampede in the meadow
from the seriousness of dreary evenings
the crackling copper of the flash
then the dark thumps of the drum
so many counted fears, slowly towards
ears blowing nests in a wall
the light tone of snail trails on concrete
step again like a proud rooster
    give courageously the measure
throw the staff once more high up
so that it glitters in the sun
I tap the jingles on the triangle
as if we were going to walk the taptoe
    Hope this helps :-)
When you need any tips next time you visit Friesland (Fryslân), just let me know. Will be happy to share some of our nice spots here.

If you want to visit the wadden in the future I would recommend a sailing trip with a boat that can dry out (droogvallen). Don't forget to bring binoculars and a bird book.

Great episode about our beautiful province! There is so much more to see and do. Next time, be sure to visit Dokkum (beautiful fortified small city), the forests around Bakkeveen (De Slotplaats), or one of the Wadden islands. My favorite is Ameland, but all of them are totally worth it! Welcome back.

A translation of the first two couplets of the poem:
    Along with the music
When melodies no longer come to mind
Eyes keep on searching in the dark
    Tinnitus plagues eardrums
    Would you be mij tambour-metre?
Then we’ll walk with high knees the stride (does not really make sense to me)
on the back roads of Methusalem
    Take me along the canals
    where we have fished, swam
Sun scorched our backs without noticing
Where we would raid duck’s nests in the reeds
Slapped wet socks against the fence
Startled by cattle stomping in the pasture
I'm sure somebody else can do better, poetically, but this is in essence what it says.

Those people rowing in the canals where probably training for the HT -race. That is a race with sloeps ( rowing boats, the kind you filmed) from the town Harlingen to the island Terschelling

Great video, but did you know you can also explore De Alde Feanen by water(or even better in my opinion compared to by land) ? You can rent small motorised boats there for one or more days (because inside the park are a lot of small islands where you can set up a tent to spend the night). Maybe an idea for the next time you guys visit the province.

You can walk over too Ameland if the waters are low.
Limited time ofcourse because of the tides.

Jep, bekijk het als reparaties voor jullie bezetting van ons land. Wij proberen hier een 2000 jaar oude taal en cultuur levend te houden, en Holland heeft dat veel te lang geprobeerd te verstieren.
