Follow along as we do a little Traditional Bowhunting off the ground in a Guillie suit. My best bowhunt to date, a nice Muledeer in the winter at 12 yards with a LongBow.
That was one of the best vids I’ve seen in a long time. Just hard hunting, no nonsense, no deer names, no screaming, no 15 minute whispering tree monologues 😂 Fantastic!!

My oldest son told me that was the new thing for some people. Looked like a good way to get a cussing if some nit wit did that on public land or anywhere that other people are hunting. They were screaming and hugging and whatnot and they hadn't even found the deer yet. I don't take my eyes off of it if I see it drop. I sure don't make any noise until I find it and make sure it's dead. No unnecessary noise anyway.
Wow I watched the whole vid with the volume down. Was a little worried about penetration but the shot placement was perfect nice job. Thanks for taking me hunting
As an old bow hunter I appreciate videos like these. Brings back some great memories of past hunts and kills. I'm 72 years old and started with a recurve in 1963. I prefer a custom long bow for my traditional style hunts. I also really like my Elite Ritual 33. Cool video. It's mighty hard to hit a deer that looking right you. Even with a compound too. GOOD Luck!!!

Buddy that was incredible!! I just got a recurve today!! After taking 25 deer with a compound and a couple with the crossbow!! I recieved it today and started with a 35 lb draw to learn on !! I love it last 5 shots this evening about 5 inch group sooo fun!!
Cool video. Love the Predator camo patterns. I think the decoy was huge, especially with the sun shining right on you. That says alot about the ghillie suit too. Surprised he didn't bleed better. Congrats!

Honestly, at 7.14,I would fire the cameraman. So traditional from the ground, with a long bow.. Mulies are big and beauteous !!. Whitetail land here in NY. Thinking that two blade was the difference on that shoulder. Subscribed..

Traditional bow hunting? Sure.. Practice lots, wearing hunting gear. Shooting shirtless in your basement is not the same as shooting with a jacket and bino harness.... Or with cold fingers. But most important is practice. We work too hard to get close for one shot just to have it foiled by an arrow sailing over the back of a deer from lack of practice. Learn good form, and practice that.
I enjoyed your hunt. FYI: Deer can see shades of blue and yellow. You might want to go with hot pink fetchings, instead of your lime/yellow. Also more face coverage. Good luck!
Good for you! Was there very little blood trail? I shot a big Whitetail this year at 8 yards, and thought it was a great hit. I was above him in a saddle. The arrow went all the way through (250gr Iron Will). I got down about 45 minutes later just to look at the impact site. Unbeknownst to me, he bedded down about 75 yards from me. He got up and lumbered off over a rise on a gravel road. I lost the blood trail. He didn't bleed very much, but I've found deer in the past that didn't bleed much.. Huge bummer! A couple different guys helped me look, but they both thought he was still alive. Neither are trad guys. There deer probably went onto private land, and one of the guys hunts there. Not sure he was real excited about me taking a tracking dog in there so I reluctantly gave up the search. Tough deal for sure! Happy for you on your trophy! Peace
