When you get the fact right that hunting with a recurve or any trad equipment is not a game and treat it as an act of survival to obtain food for the winter you are on the right track, leave those big packs in camp, take the bare essentials in a fanny-pack, camo,camo,camo, and i liked using the HS cow elk scent wafers , hang one on my hat, it helps cover your scent at close range, i also carried a bottle of rut lure and squirt a little a few yards in front of every set-up when calling to a bull, my shooting form was never good when carrying a back-pack, a 60 lb. recurve is lethal well beyond 40 yards, but you need to shoot it year round, the recurve gets blamed for the empty-tag but that is wrong, i also took my quiver off my bow, but to hang it from my hip was too low, so i learned to carry my hip-quiver over my shoulder, just a few tips from a Mo. Hillbilly...............wish i could go with you guys but am getting crippled up as the years go by, sure enjoy your videos, i hunted with the Blackwidow ............ h
As I watch this video I see y’all making the same mistake as most bow hunter. Sitting in the grass with a long bow. When you should be standing. And that’s with any bow. Taking yourself out of the game.
