Princess is nice! I thought she's another spoiled brat based on the title. She dressed his wounds, cut her hair, did repairs, is easygoing. Great for a future ruler!
Dude I read some of the comments, so basically a great movie/story but not really romance more like life story and chemistry between people and trial error lesson and those stuff. Basically, romance was probably not the vocal point of this movie. More like life lessons and morals.
Damn man I love these retro throwbacks, really highlights a lot of amazing underrated animes that barely anyone knows off. People must watch these more
I have seen the movie. It's wonderful but it's not what you are thinking it is. The pilot is carrying a princess who is to be married to a crown prince of another kingdom. The whole journey of carrying her is such a delight to watch. After his job is completed, pilot vanishes to be never seen again, like never ever , unknown to all. So there is nothing about pilot and princess getting together. I heard it's inspired from real life story.

The scene is in here i think where they were dancing then suddenly stumbled. I know there's no romance but, unlike other mercenaries he didn't care about the money. And the last scene the princess waves goodbye to his pilot/savior and the pilot throws his gold. The Princess devoted herself to peace The Imperial and the Military has no records of Charles Karino/Pilot And how they're life ended is a mystery

I'd prefer this over weathering with you. It was frustrating how the movie ended, but, I take it as it is. As some people would've wished for a different ending, my younger self would prefer that too (If I watched as a teen) but that's just it. This kind of love happens, some movies leave us hanging or hoping for more.

The ending was not tragic. It was realistic. War time yung setting ng movie, yung protagonist ace pilot na binigyan ng covert mission. Kung gagawing cliche romantic style yung ending nito mas lalong masisira yung plot. The ending was perfect for me, inisip ng protagonist yung kapakanan ng buong bansa nila kaya kahit may konting hints ng romanticism sa protagonist at princess, ininda ng protagonist yung nararamdaman niya. Selfless love yung pinakita ng protagonist, which for me is the most beautiful form of love. I think you are confused with the definition ng tragic. Try reading shakespeare's works, yan yung classic example ng tragic.
