Thank you so much, I felt like you were speaking directly to me.I just started as a junior developer and man I am struggling.
I am so happy to hear the video spoke to you, thank you for leaving this kind comment! I know exactly how you feel. Hang in there ☀️ You got this! 💪🏼
I needed to hear this. Thank you!
thank you for this, i am a beginner, just now looking for an internship as im finishing my degree(at 27😂), and i always feel like im not good enough and talented enough as those who "started coding as a kid"
Hi Maja! 🤗 Thank you for sharing this! I totally get you, it can feel so difficult 😝😣 I started this job when I was 26 so we’re in the same boat 🙌🏼 You’re doing amazing ✨🥳
Thank you very much. You reminded me of very important and simple things that make working much more enjoyable. And notice that your smile is so beautiful.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for leaving a comment! 😊
I'm currently reading Clean Code . And starting as Junior SO needed to hear this thanks
Amazing! 📖🙌🏼 I’m so glad to hear this, thank you for letting me know 🤗🤗
Good advice Iris. Having spent nearly 40 years in the IT world as a programmer and analyst I experienced nearly all of those things that you described. I could have used that last book it sounds like back when I was coding.
It’s so good to hear that others are going through the same things! Thank you for sharing your experience 🤗🤗
👌👌 wishing the best Iris! 💖
Hi Juli!! ♥️🤗 thank you so much!!! it means a lot to me!
I started coding at 12 and I'm supposed to fit in that stereotype but I identify myself with all you mentioned. We're all in this together! 🙌
Oooh this is amazing! Thank you for sharing your experience, so good to hear this perspective! 🤗✨🙌🏼

Hi there! 🤗🤗 Thank you so much for letting me know, I’m super happy to hear that!
Let's be honest this profession gets glamorized a lot.
I completely agree! Most videos only show the good side of the software engineering world, I wish more people would talk about the negatives as well.
I just wanted to say Hi 😬thank you for sharing Iris, good advice.
Hi Jarle!!! 👋🏼🤗 Thank you so much for commenting, it means a lot! ♥️
As someone without a degree who felt the need to be at a junior developer level just to land my first job as software engineer ever, this is an interesting video to hear your perspective from, thanks for the advice.
Hi there 🤗 I’m so glad to hear the video was helpful! Thank you so much for leaving a comment ✨ I wish you all the best on your journey!!!
Hey Iris , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience .
Hi there :) I already work with an editor so I am all good at the moment but thank you for reaching out ☺️
Thank you for your video. Do you have any tips for remembering all the technical concepts?
Hi there :) I use both a physical notebook and Notion on my laptop, whenever I learn something new I write it down. This way I can always come back to my notes if I need to remember how something works that I haven’t used in a while :) my list of notes is massive hahaha 😂☺️
Thank you for replying !! It's soo nice to see more female software engineers in the tech field. I've been struggling to organise my notes. Do you organise them by course or topic? For example, if you learn a topic from multiple structured resources, do you organise by topic or by course?
Always waiting for your videos🎉
awww thank you 🥳🥳🥳🥳
loove your content 😍
aww thank you so much!! I’m so happy to hear that 🥰🥰
What tech stack/knowledge did you use/have by the time you were applying for the remote job you applied for on WeWorkRemotely and what is your approach on preparing for interviews? thanks a lot for the videos they are very helpful!
Hi there :)
When I was applying for the fully remote job I had mostly worked on backend projects in Java but I also had some knowledge in JavaScript and Python.
To prepare for interviews I spent a lot of time looking up the most commonly asked (tech) questions and wrote my answers to them down, then I went over them multiple times before the interviews :) There is also an amazing book I can recommend for programming questions, it's called "Cracking the coding interview", here's the link:
