Barbless is best! That whole Rebel Micro Lure collection is awesome! I bend down the barbs on EVERY lure I throw. Since I practice catch & release, having no barb puts less stress on the fish. Not many fish get off if I play them correctly. Keep up the GREAT work!!!!
Perhaps, I was thinking that it has a lot to do with his editing, his videos are put together extremely well. I also think I like his videos the most because he genuinely seems like a nice dude, and he hasn't let his channel's quality go down for the sake of getting more views. Like the whole quality before quantity thing, if that makes sense. Like if he seriously put out a video every day with the same quality, that would be amazing, I would still be just as excited.

Little popper secret. To get the popper sitting right in the water. Tie on about a 3ft leader to the rear treble hook. Then at the end of the leader tie a tiny size 18 or 22 beadhead nymph.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but Arbogast made a 3/16 oz single hook Hula Popper. If you don't count the hula skirt, I think its smaller than the popper you lost. Give it a try. I love using these towards evening. A half pounder seems like 5 pounds after dark!

Thomas Albert same here, when i fish for any fish i'm not gonna eat i actually take the barbs off, my pb bass which is 6lbs(im from canada they dont get as big) i caught him on a texas rig with no barbs. I find the barbs destroy the mouth of the fish a lot when taking them out. i rarely if not ever experiance the amount of losses he is.
I'd love to see that with a little barbed hook or an option for a little skirted treble. I've tried using it a few times and have always had better luck moving up a size to the smallest PopR with the treble still.
When you talk and record inside the Jeep and the motor is running, I get a really loud low frequency on my monitor speakers!! And by the way, awesome video!!! I can't believe a fish took it away!

Dude I have that exact same lure...never managed to catch anything with it, and all of my rods were too heavy to cast the thing...I've been using it with my fly rod! :D

I see that you always tie your spinners directly to your line. Why dont you use a snap swivel? We use it all the time and on everything it stops the line from twisting and you dont waste line from having to re-tie every spinner change
I have a couple problems with this video. Why is it edited so that it never shows the the land and unhooking in the same clip? Another thing is the first time he just kinda flicked it in some water, ok that I can get but did you see how far he was casting that and the splash it made? No way that is that lure.

I micro fish a lot, and I actually take the barbs off of all my hooks. Usually I find that using a slightly smaller hook will help.
