    Just heard a few bars of this song on the series Yellowstone and the voice was so different it made me look it up and that is how I found Colter Wall. I am hooked now.

      I was sure it was some 60s or 70s C&W star. Such a wonderful discovery

    I just discovered Colter about three weeks ago and I'm now hooked on his music. I was born in Saskatoon and raise on a farm north of Carrot River, Sask. I grew up with the long view of things on the prairie (a place where you can watch your dog run away for 3 days). A trip to college in Texas took me away from the prairie and a girl with brown eyes I could not live without kept me away and I now live in the Appalachian paradise of Knoxville, TN. However, in my heart I will always be a 'Plain to see Plainsman'. The simple life of the prairie and the wide open spaces where cars only drive by once an hour are happy times I remember well. Thanks for the great music Colter. Keep telling those stories. I just wish I could have seen you sing with Johnny Cash and Waylon. That would have been classic!

      That's saying a bit much. I personally think Randy Travis is the best baritone country singer in the last 30 years. The man could sing the panties off a nun!

    Saw this man in Columbia, MO not too many miles from my home in Glasgow, a small hilly Civil War town on the big muddy Missouri river. This has quickly become something of an anthem to me.

    So is he playing in c tuning with a capo on 2nd fret?

    • @joshuawulfman6749
      @joshuawulfman6749 6 лет назад +5

      Colter typically plays a full step down with capo on 2 (effectively standard tuning). This allows the strings to stay in tune better and for less pressure to be exerted on the strings.

    • @simonbilleng2748

      It does sound good with that low E rattle as well ;)

    • @ONESNZER0S
      @ONESNZER0S 5 лет назад +2

      I think he is going for the rattle which sounds as earthy and raw as his voice. Its really a signature guitar sound.
