Yep me too. I hadn’t listened to country since Lyle Lovett in the late 90s and Ryan Adams’ Heartbreaker album (which was maybe kinda country) in 2000. But this guy and Zach Bryan have reminded me what country music can be when one avoids cringe-worthy and clichéd lyrics that pander to an audience, and instead simply write good music with great lyrics and some simple melodies.
I'd like to say to you sir, I never really latched onto that part until I saw this comment almost a year ago... lmfao I am not kiddingm everytime I think of this song, or even Tyler for that matter, I hear him yell that in my head lol,,, this will be a forever thing ahah!!! Thought I would let you know hahaha your fault but its so good haha
Because popular music is aimed at the lowest common denominator. To make as much money as they want to it has to be as bland and lack as much culture, accents, instrumentations and anything else that isnt the hook as possible to reach the broadest audience possible. Real country music doesnt have that appeal. Sadly not everyone digs fiddles, telecasters and pedal steel guitars. This is true for all genres of music from blues to bluegrass and everything inbetween.
Mike hunt Dog honestly his Live at Red Rocks version of Whitehouse Rd I like better than the original. It’s the tempo, he decided to do it faster that time and it’s like it was always meant to be played that way.
Daniel Clark Music hopefully you’re checking out all of the other renegades out there. There’s a ton of great artists that are making real country music. It’s nice to know it’s not just in Texas or Oklahoma anymore.
I bought tickets to see you in Sugarland, Texas here in a few days... before all of this virus mess. Hopefully in the future, I'll be hammered drunk on Shiner Bock watching you in the Lone Star state.
Props to the pedal steel guy! That's a formidable instrument and he plays it great! Always wanted to try one, despite knowing it'd completely humble/frustrate me in about 10 minutes.
You can play any instrument but they take years to master and lots of practice you won’t be able to do much at first but all you need is dicipline and play each day and lessons at the start to ensure against developing bad habits
well gawd Damn i luvvv this song brings happiness to me !!! I'm an alcoholic and i tell you what this song can save someone 100% FACTS im from New Mexico Farmington and i will jam it everyday. THANKYOU Tyler
Dang!!! Am I the only one who watched this video 299,999 times before realizing the bass player is actually a bobble head!? My bad Tyler!! Amazing video.
So far as The Basque Country from Kentucky , but this guy and people like you with this kind of great videos /sessions have saved my quarantine. The best wishes for you , Mr.Childers and band , and everybody here!!
Legend has it that bassist is still head bobbing to this day
😆😆
Craig is dope haha
It’s actually Craig Burletic and The Food Stamps featuring Tyler Childers if you ask me. Lol
This dude was cracking me up, but hey whatever works right?
I cannot unsee this now! Too funny!
I was one of those people that would say “I listen to everything except country” until I heard this guy.
Because most country nowadays isn’t real country like this is. Check out uncle Lucius - Keep the wolves away. You won’t be disappointed at all.
@@chaisebruh absolute banger of a song
Welcome to the fold

Nobody:
Me randomly at work: I go runnin through the THICKET!
Austin Rhoades I have been caught a few times screaming THICKET when I think I’m alone and I have to explain that it’s in a song
Andrew T yesir thicket boys
I’ve never related to anything more

@@AidenMcGovern lol literally same. everytime I hear that line I think of this comment and scream THICKET
this dude could sing about replacing a ceiling fan and i'd listen to it
Well my ceiling fan is broken
And my roof is full of holes
Well it's time I pay a visit
To the place that I call Lowes
They've got shingles on a special,
they've got nails to hold them down...
I need some screws for my "Hunter"...
Gotta keep it spinnin' 'round...
He has a song about jacking off..... and it's awesome.....
Me too , his voice , just love it x
He has a song about a conversation he had with his friend about plastic flowers, it's called "Fake Bouquet"
Why cant this be played on the radio instead of the pop country played on multiple genre stations
That's because radio stations don't play TRUE country!!! Tyler, Colter Wall,Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson are the REAL DEAL
Amen bro fucken amen

Some people ain't ready for real country music
I play several titles by Tyler. And Cody. And Sturgill. Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, etc. It can be done. WUSH-FM in Norfolk.
Tyler’s live shows sound just like his album and sometimes better and that’s rare these days
Mike hunt Dog honestly his Live at Red Rocks version of Whitehouse Rd I like better than the original. It’s the tempo, he decided to do it faster that time and it’s like it was always meant to be played that way.
I agree... I love the Red Rocks version of “All Your’n” better too! Great raw sound!
Cant wait to see
Kacey Musgraves is the same case if you like that stuff. She’s PHENOMENAL live.
Chris Stapleton is very good , even better live !!
Nobody and I mean nobody can say the word “THICKET” like this dude!! Amazing song!!!
I thought I was the only one. He’s pretty amazing.
That bassist is IN IT. Lemme tell you
wow the sound of real instruments in a country song! its been a while!
Daniel Clark Music hopefully you’re checking out all of the other renegades out there. There’s a ton of great artists that are making real country music. It’s nice to know it’s not just in Texas or Oklahoma anymore.
Check out Billy Strings.
Don’t lie, you prefer claps and snaps.
Try Colter Wall and Zach Bryan.
the first tyler childers song i ever heard, and it will always be a comfort song for me. i will mever get enough of this man and his music.
The head bobbing though. Legend.
Piano guy hits the perfect notes, on the perfect time!
The piano adds so much to this song!!
I thought I hated country. But he could literally sing about anything and I’d play it on repeat
honestly he doesn’t get enough attention... this man has a beautiful voice and amazing writing skills
@Tyler Childers honestly i listen to lady may, feathered indians, nose on the grindstone, and whitehouse road on the daily they are so damn good
He kills it he sings from the heart.
I bought tickets to see you in Sugarland, Texas here in a few days... before all of this virus mess. Hopefully in the future, I'll be hammered drunk on Shiner Bock watching you in the Lone Star state.
THICKET!
Timmy and the boys adopting social distancing a full month before everyone else! Mavericks.
This album (purgatory) is my favorite country album ever
You've got great taste.
I don't know how I found this guy but I am so glad I did...Tyler is a consummate singer songwriter
Tyler Childers is breathtaking!! So beautiful-inside/out!!!❤
Such a poet and a fcukin great story teller .
Rips cords from ya heart to put em in words !
Thank you Tyler
People love this guy so much, that you cover this song and people get upset it's not him playing it
Love it. Proper country. Why do they never play real country music on the radio anymore?
This was the first Tyler Childers song I heard, now im hooked.
One of the last times tyler played feathered Indians
Going to see him later this year, August I think. Already have the tickets. Had them for nearly a year now. Been a long wait.
Okay I wasnt the only one entertained by the bassist lmao
yeah tyler is great and all but can we just acknowledge the fact that craig is the grooviest bass player to ever live?!
Music doesn’t get any better than this. Thank God for Tyler.
Man he’s so good! Can’t get enough of his stuff.
These guys got it goin on right here.
Wow ..Outstanding !!!!
True talent !!! 🤘🏻
Tyler and his band are fantastic!

Just discovered this guy. Wow! Love him and his band .Awesome.
This young fella is going places. Keep up the great work. Awesome.
That steel guitar!
The more this man matures...like a fine wine...The smoother his music, and in particular this song, sounds to me.

Never had heard of this man or song until I heard it when my son had it on his song list..hooked ever since.
tyler is amazing
This dude sounds incredible.
I so relate to the bassist with the very odd head movements keeping time... Love seeing someone else with my same oddities lol.
When Jason will perform together with Tyler I will eat my shoe!!
I don't know why he's the only one I find myself listening to all the time I always come back to Tyler. Very Appalachian very folksy amazing soul
This definitely would be "our song" if I had a special someone.
Me too pal
this song is perfect
Beautiful piano parts
New Country that doesn't suck, and by doesn't suck, I mean-friggin' awesome. Love this band. 👍
Possibly the perfect song...

Anybody else get distracted by the bass players head bop? He kept me into the song more than I already was
And the bass players fuckin jammin
Best version of this song and it’s not close
I have that shirt and I'm pretty sure it's just from Target, this dude rocks on all levels.
My love song to the woman who stole my heart fair and square....
Every time I watch the whole band that bass player reminds me more and more of Eugene on The Walking Dead.
Oh cool they have a pet drummer, he looks very happy in his tank
Lovely
Might be the best version of this song , love the piano
Real Outlaw country. That's rare these days.
THICKET!!!
Dang!!! Am I the only one who watched this video 299,999 times before realizing the bass player is actually a bobble head!? My bad Tyler!! Amazing video.

It was never cool
It’s not “Too messed up to get back home”. :(

This is an over-the-air radio station. They get fined by the FCC if people curse live on the air.
