this game has felt AMAZING so far. I’ve started trying out more weapons and I love the new specials so much. the movement also feels clean and when I wanted to play a splat 2 match for fun and I forgot that I didn’t have squid rolls which felt so weird. I’d recommend this game to anyone who finds it interesting or has played the previous ones. Anyway that’s it

2 things I like about this video: 1. It's a good display on good team communication 2. It's awesome to have a highlight reel of your TEAM working well together, and not just you spotlighting your own plays
I wish that there were more public tournaments for slightly less skilled players (like me 😭😭😭) since it seems so nice to just be able to actually communicate with your team!
I still can't wrap my head around the Squid Roll and Chara and his team (as well as a lot of other players of course!) make it look effortless, haha! I do always enjoy watching competitive play. :D
Keep forcing yourself to use it constantly and eventually it will become muscle memory :) I went back and played Splatoon 2 today and kept trying to squid roll even tho it's not in that game 😅 It is so useful and it's honestly the best thing about Splatoon 3! Once you master it it really helps you engage in fights and also flee from situations. It also helps you tank bombs which can be really clutch sometimes! Keep practicing I know you'll get it!
@@Sqwivig Hopefully it'll eventually become natural to me. I mess around with it in the lobby and I'm either consistently chaining rolls or I can't do it at all. Then I completely forget I have it in matches, haha! I want to get better at it though because there's been a few times I've done one by mistake and it's felt cool and saved me from being splatted. XD
@@ArtzyZero Nice! Something that helped me master them is to think about using them when going around corners. Instead of sub strafing (which is also very useful) try to think about using a squid roll to go around a corner. This is useful because during rollout at the beginning of a match it can help you remember you have them but you aren't surrounded by enemies so there isn't a lot of pressure. If you mess up you won't be punished for it. Idk if that made sense but that's what helped me. Just using them at the beginning of matches until you remember to use them in other ways. Going into recon and rolling around the maps to find shortcuts can also be really useful! Good luck! You got this!
Me watching how you guys made the little wall squid/octo formation just reaffirms my theory that Nintendo did that just to appease Squid Partiers so they don’t throw a match
Honestly, I feel that splatoon 3 pulls of support way too well. All the supportive specials feel amazing to use. My favorite is the ink vac, because not only can you shield your teammates from all incoming damage, but you get to fire a rainmaker shot after, which basically makes you WANT to protect your teammates.

Despite playing Splatoon 2 when it launched, only really tried the ranked modes (only Splat Zone) like once or twice. Already tried ranked and played way more in this game.
I haven’t played much Splat 3 yet but I’ll say that Tristrike seems like it would be a pretty decent counter to Ink Vac. I’d be surprised to see comps run Slosher or Brella just to counter it
I love playing support weapons, but it’s hard to get much mileage off of them when my friends aren’t available. It’s way harder to coordinate with soloq teammates. It might just be me not having enough game sense yet to know when and how to support, but it really feels like randos just completely disregard the help i try to provide lol.
Got a Question. When it comes to tournaments, how is Gear handled? Is there any restrictions? You all have to dress the same? what are the rules? Also, what about stages? you have to play what is currently ongoing? or do you wait for specific game modes? are some stages banned, so if you get them, all disconnect to not play on it?
Tournaments use Private Battles, which means they get to manually choose what Stage and Mode they play, so no worries about the rotation. As for gear, no restrictions, since everyone has the same access to the gear they want.
Gear is whatever you can get your hands on, usually no Splatfest Tee/Ability Doubler though. For stages, it's done in private battles, so they can just pick whatever they want even if it's not in rotation. Usually it's done with counterpicks where the team that just lost picks the next stage.
He doesn't mash, just presses it once or twice. And it's a really important tool in any play above like A rank because your teammates need to know when you die
he literally only hits it like, two times. That's not mashing. And it is to let his team know where and when he died, so they are aware that he isn't on the field anymore and are aware of potential enemies in that location, without having to verbally say all of that
support feels amazing cuz u don’t need to get a bunch of splats, or ink a whole bunch, you ust need to help teamates a small hit and get splat assister. also if u lose u can blame it on them for not using ur support.
I like that you’re not just a support in game but constantly reassuring your team that’s it all good, playing emotional support as well.

That movement tech alone NEEDS to be a video soon. So many cool uses of squid roll with the rainmaker and reaching some spots in maps quickly.

Being support in Splatoon 3 is an interesting playstyle but a very welcoming one, it’s like playing Medic in tf2 all over again
I tuned into FLC's stream yesterday and he said having ink vac is a detriment to the team, so seeing some clips of it doing good is kinda funny.
the way the rainmaker just understood its fate and started squid partying at the end of chapter 1 is beautiful.
