Hm. It's might be possible to record mic audio into another file, silent the main video and split with mic sound only and put music afterwards to avoid music clipping between different fragments. (So you get 6 hours of mic only video and then put the music into chosen fragments) Should be relatively easy to do

@@sm678-k2m The likely reason this didn't happen is because the music is from ingame Rimworld - the music is tied to the UI sound effects and other stuff. Adam would need to have a third party program running his Rimworld music during streaming to properly split things off that way. Editting videos is more than just editting videos, unforunately... I also like his content but the longform vods are just impossible to get through - I don't have the physical time to commit to that. So I hope the teething isn't too bad. The chopping itself was done very well, only the audio really leapt out as something to focus on working on.
Awesome start! Really loved the editing. It wasn't too much but funny in the right places. No real weird cuts and it was kept coherent and didn't feel like it was all over the place.
Great editing. Way more digestible for one sitting. Being able to focus on the more relevant bits and skipping the sleepy times is a QOL change I cannot praise enough.

Fantastic job. I've seen the entire original vod, and didn't feel like anything was missing here. This is especially nice for folks with a limited viewing schedule. Many days it's impossible for me to watch a 7 hour vod, but I can almost always make time for a 30 minute condensed version.
My 2 cents for the editor: I love it as well! I much prefer it. I hadn't watched the original, but it seems like a few questions' were skipped by Adam, such as if being in the corner would make deep drilling annoying later; I really like to learn from these answers, and it is a big part of what brings me to the channel.

LOVE this edited/short-form version video! It was a lot easier to keep track of everything going on, and the editing style was great. I especially loved how you popped the twitch comment onto the screen when you were answering them w/out reading the whole thing. Really enjoying your Biotech content! :)
I quite liked it ! Pretty good editing, quite subtle, not too obnoxious (only one fart, which is not too bad 😂), I liked the highlighted questions, the zoom-ins. All and all nothing much to say apart to keep them coming !
So far I really enjoyed the format. Its quicker paced, but still 30 minute episodes. I would still whatch even if they were like 40-50 mins. About the editing, its still early to tell, but your aditor added some funny stuff without being lame or too annoying. Great job, I will be here next video to give more feedback
I'm glad you kept the set up, ideology explanation, pawn choice, etc. I like to play along and see how my game goes compared to yours :) If you ever find set up too long for a half hour edited video, consider a "Part Zero" video that's nothing but the set up.
I love how I finally sit down to watch this, you mention lore, I think "you're going in the book" you say it literally a second after I think it, and then you tell those who dont know to not worry about it

I like the edited viedo format! The editing feels good, especially the jeans joke. Maybe the fart cloud was a lil bit to much but overall i say it was a good job.
I really enjoyed the condensed edited version of this! Sometimes I want long several hour videos but then most days I enjoy watching multiple 30 minute videos during the day!

Sadly I can't bring myself the focus to watch an entire run in vod without getting distracted, these editted runs are great for me, and I hope they'll stay around either which way. I like the editing style in this video too, so it feels to me like you found the perfect editor for your videos! Keep it up!
The edits are really good quality, and I think what I value most about the edited content is it will help me catch up on runs I may have missed on stream, without needing to binge all the long form content!
So my hands down favorite rimworld content up till now has been Francis John, because he cuts out all the boring stuff and gets a lot of content down to 1 hour episodes, I also quite like his editing style. I am absolutely loving this new take, and while I liked watching parts of your last series, unedited streams were far too long for me sadly. I'm excited to see how this turns out! I have to drop a lot of series because I got too far behind with the longform videos. Just adding my support for the edited format. While I love watching hours long sessions the reality is I only have a limited amount of time and sometimes Rimworld can be a slow game where nothing happens for a long time so I feel like an edited format is going to be a perfect fit.

I really do appreciate the edited version here, I can fit the content into my schedule a lot easier now! The only thing I might want to mention is that the pacing is a little fast, going from beat to beat doesn't leave much time for digestion. I would just say don't feel bound to the "30:00" episode format, a little longer with some breathing room would be nice.

I watch the streams sometimes but I find the VODs just too much content to consume so this was PERFECT for me. I LOVE edited down Rimworld. +1 from me, I love it.
This edited video format is so much more watchable in a single sitting then the longform videos. I often just turn those on and leave them running while I do other stuff but only pay attention when I'm trying to improve my own gameplay
Hey Adam. I really appreciate these shorter playthrough videos. It's really tough to commit hours of time watching playthroughs since I have other obligations, but these shorter videos give me the opportunity to follow along and enjoy the ride with y'all.
I thought this was well done. I will watch these even if I've been present for most of the stream, to catch up on any highlights I might have missed. Plus this will fix my issue of starting a run but never finishing because the next run starts before I've had time to watch the first one.
Hey Adam, congrats on your new format. I only caught a few partial streams of this run and I really enjoyed using this edited version to get the highlights. I think this video will give people new to your stream a really good sense of how you play and loads of the good tips. I still recommend to everyone that the *really* good stuff is when you catch the live stream or watch the unedited videos…but as I’m still working through 40-something hours of your transhumanist run I really appreciated the chance to skim this one! Also really fun theme, loved how you subverted some of your preferred play styles.
It's not so bad... But if feels like there are too many cuts, really breaks the flow/immersion on the run. But thankfully for my luck, you are the greatest RUclips ever and will keep uploading the unedited stuff, thank you very much for that by the way, you are really awesome. Even though I will stick with unedited, hope this works out and you grow even more! :)
Agreed. It could really use some more transitions or lead in after each cut. My eyes kept darting around trying to catch up because my focus was somewhere else on the previous cut. There is very little time to soak in the situation/scene before it was already moving on. While shorter videos would be more digestable, this seems too... random. It reminds me of tv episode teasers where they show you a few clips but you have to watch the full episode to follow the storyline. This is definitely more of "highlight" style video... as long as the full episdoes are being released I guess...
Really liked this format! Maybe I can finally keep up with a series, +2hr long video are difficult to watch enterely (even at x1.75) while finding time to play the game. Good job everyone involved.
