We have Costco in Australia. The one in Adelaide where I live, has been here for approximately 5 years. I love going there just to look around at all the products they have. It's a wonderful life.
Like a liaison of Metro and Aldi (Hofer in Austria)…. I like it 😋
I know many families here in Canada that shop exclusively at Costco and nowhere else. Hope we have the Bueno’s up here I’ll have to check!
Yay
it's a wonderful life----yesssss!!!
Its not like Metro at all! Huge, name brand items that are low priced! Don't listen to anyone who say's they are the same. Totally different concept.
If Metro were like Costco I would have been there by now. Unfortunately they won't even let me in the door. (But when Costco started it was only for business owners as well!) Update: I don't need to go to Metro, I've just had a second confirmation that the food is not cheaper.
tvs are cheaper because germans don't really use tvs. Every german bought one once and it's sitting around now. we don't have a big need. germans tend to use computers or smart phones.
It is a bit ironic when CostCo in Britain isn't in Continental Europe, but CostCo on the Baleares is :)
NALF might've meant in the EU, which of course the UK has left.
Costco = Ikea + Lidl + Metro
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation!
Leo rules.
but it has nothing to do with Christmas, it's just during Christmas..... hmmm
The grinch (Jim Carrey) is the best movie anyone can fight me
There are similar stores like CITTI or METRO in germany, but those are targeted at businesses like restaurants and bars. But you as a "civilian" can shop also there and get those big boi packages like a 2 litre bottle of barcadi.
well...
i did enjoy it
Nick, you forgot to mention our other great stores, Walmart, Sam's Club and Target. Happy New Year to the family.
I could do without Walmart. They pulled had some shady practices in the 80s-00s when they were expanding everywhere that made it impossible for small businesses and independent groceries to compete. My small town is filled with giant parking lots and empty buildings from the stores that couldn't afford to stay open due to Walmart being there
I don't like huge shops like COSTCO. I prefer smaller shops specialized on certain products (groceries, clothes, tools, electronics etc.). By the way I prefer short distances in the shops and as you know Germans like to put their items in the carts on their own because its much faster (Germans are always on the run :-))) ).

great video shopping with ur mom and andy 😍 on sunday
Can somebody explain the 1.50 hot dog deal to me? No matter the inflation and current stae of the economy it's alway this price? They can't possibly make money out of it(sans people staying longer and buying other stuff), not to mention my german skepticism about the food quality. And yes, the question was rhetorical.
their hotdogs are actually very good and they do lose money on each one, they can tolerate losses like that due to the price for a membership card
Didn't need to click to know...
Ì wished they had free samples in Aldi!
But they'd all be inedible. LOL
