After the lecture, he gave autographs, and took pictures. I got his autograph, and took a picture with him. Such a nice guy

What a beautiful soul he is. I have lived Europe through for over 20 years, and when I finally got to go in 2017,2018, and 2019 my husband and brother were baffled at how much I knew about the places we visited. Listening to him playing Taps on his trumpet made tears well up in my eyes. Thank you Rick Steves. I will “keep on traveling” as soon as I can.
I'm a nature guide in my homeland and a national park. First time in the last 20 years I did not get to see the orchids bloom in summer. Also, zero income for over a year. Never ever been more depressed and lost in my entire life ... this gave me so much joy to see. There's a lot to do, but with two kids locked at home it has been impossible. Guess Ill find the way!
Rick has done a great service to the world with his programs, books and other achievements. It was a shame his first marriage ended in divorce. I loved the first shows that showed Ann and his children. Thank you Rick Steves for all you have done!

I've spent 40 years in the airlines (20 of them in sales) working with travel agents. Loved the travel industry. Steve's work has been very enjoyable and inspirational for me as well as for others 😀
For the last 6 months I’ve been streaming his shows and traveling vicariously thru him. I also caught a thoughtful and cautionary special he did on the rise of Fascism in pre-WW2 Europe; which I think was an amazing public service. Lastly, the fact he still pays his staff is amazingly great as both a businessman and human being. Good on him!

I love Rick Steves. We read the guide books for years and travelled to Italy based on his recommendations. Met other people on the path between towns in the Cinque Terre carrying his books as well. Later I attended one of his travel fairs and lectures in Edmonds. Now, to my own amazement, I'm in Thailand. I never would have thought it, but Rick's sense of discovery in travel permeated through all of us in the Seattle area and around the USA. He's definitely had an impact on my life and I still try to keep tabs on him from afar.
I am almost obsessed with Rick Steves. I have had a dream since I was little to travel to Europe. It’s just amazing to see all these great places, and learn so much about them. The first place I would visit would be Germany. From what I’ve seen in the Rick Steves episodes I have watched, the German people seem really nice, and have a great knowledge of what to do and see, and have so much to say about their country’s history

I have always been a huge fan of Rick Steves. I met him at a travel show a few years ago. Such a great man with a lot of information about Europe. Since I was little, I have had a dream to travel to Europe. See the Eiffel Tower in France, the Black Forest in Germany, and many other exciting places. Its been on my bucket list for a long time
I absolutely enjoy his travel show, everytime I'm searching for something to watch and I happen to catch it , I watch it. it is very entertaining and interesting to hear his voice narrate it .

European travel was off limits recreationally in WWII and WWI as well. Our later generations have just gotten used to being able to enjoy travelling freely.
I've always admired Rick Steves, and I've used his recommendations when I've travelled through Europe. But now, he would be doing his fans a much bigger service if he focused on U.S. travel. He can encourage Americans to explore their own country.
