If I remember correctly from some comment on this video, the fishing net was damaged badly. One of the guys wasted three or so days trying to fix it. Everybody on the team was discouraging him and judging for wasting time. But in the end, the net was fixed. They got a lot of fish easy. And everyone apologized.

The video cut out a lot of the context from the episode, like how both teams went through survival training, that each team had one survival expert, the fishing net the men found needed repairs, how the women didn't kill the pigs etc. Its like seeing someone standing near a corpse: without context, the bystander is the murderer, but with context, it would be the bystander simply tried to help the victim but failed.

Each team had 1 nature expert/survivalist. The men upon landing immediately voted to put their expert in charge. The women spent the entire time ignoring theirs to the point that she got fed up with them and started doing her own thing. So there are some things you should know about the show. Before they went to the island they were given 72 hours of intensive survival training. Both men and women. Each group had a survival expert and 2 medics or doctors. The men put that survivslidt in charge and listened to him. The women yapped and ignore her. Each team were given 2 metal water tanks for purifying water. The women left food in 1, which went rotten and they threw the tank into the ocean to get rid of it.Leading to the dehydration. Also in attempting to purify the water they left the screw cap on which lead to it expoding and injuring a member of the women's camp. The men captured and ate, fish, stingrays, snakes, crocodiles and shellfish. The women ate random coconuts, and after 3 weeks were given 2 domesticated pigs which were left tied up in a beach. Instead of eating them they gave them names and fed them and then released then. Instead of taking the 10k calories they contained. They were also given cans of beans and water by "random" fisherman.The women spent a large amount of time tanning and laying on the beach. Essentially, it is treating it like a holiday. And suffered the consequences of it.
Yeah I remember watching this show and thinking to myself how stupid some of the women in it were. I think if it was women from other cultures it would have been more of a tie with the men, but these women felt like stereotypical north american women that you see in american movies...

So the production crew had to give out supplies to help them. While the men made their fire on their second day, but they had trouble for a few hours. So they borrowed some glasses from their team members and focus them on the sunlight to create heat and it worked. The guys created a shelter to cover the fire. Their fire was kept burning for six whole weeks!

More info: - The girls made fire first but it kept dying. The guys were late to make fire but it never went out - The girls had 2 piglets as pets, feeding the pigs instead of them. They abandoned them on the forest but the pigs followed them to the beach. One of the ladies killed the pigs and all of them ate them. - The net drifted on the mans island and were broken. One guy was fixing but another one kept complaining as it was a waste of time. The guy persevered alone until he got 10+ fishes. The other guy apologized. The girls got outside help, so we can argue that the net is "fair". - This video mixes the two seasons, I don't like the leading clips and the AI. - On the other season, they were on the same island, the girls gave up and went to live with the boys. - For me the worst part is that, the girls were always "losing" but they never gave up but in the end, Bear Grills goes and say: "The girls were great, I knew they could do this" I would love for you two to react to this show and more shoeonhead
"Men love piss water", no the men knew how to filter and boil the water (women couldn't get fire going for days) because they paid attention to the 3 day survival crash course both teams went through and the team expert. Both the men and women were just regular inexperienced people with office jobs and such, only 1 actual survival expert on each team. It's not like all the men grew up as boy scouts or anything. And they're all British, lot less opportunity to grow up learning wilderness skills than say, the USA, less raw wilderness everywhere to go do stuff in.

How is your tldr longer than the text before it, and also is on a different subject? They got a full team of morons for the womens side, and that is the only thing this show proved. There are lots of competent people who would survive in the wilderness, and even lead others along the same lines, experienced people. There are also people who rely too much on society and have no experience with survival, and they would probably starve and die without help. Men don't like piss water. The men said water isn't an issue because the men filtered the water so that it became drinkable while the women just straight up drank dirty water. This is why leaders are important. Having someone to oversee and make sure that tasks are carried out means shit actually gets taken care of meaning the tribe (team) survives and their life is made easier as a result. That's why for the men it was like a vacation while it was hell on earth for the women. Keep in mind both teams go through weeks of training before going on the actual show. The women had the same training as the men however the men understood that in order to actually survive someone had to be the leader. A tribe with no leader dies because there is no structure to build off of. Everyone is just doing whatever they feel like doing instead of coming together and trying to survive.

The men weren't killing most things, they were killing things they've eaten before, so they had prior knowledge on if it was poisonous. Common knowledge. The woman weren't killing anything or for that matter, Not even putting a roof over their heads. They all had lessons before it, AND THEY CHOSE TO BE THERE. They probably had weeks to prepare with the training as well. They all got nets and items.

13:47 Yes, it might be hard to navigate the girls search party got lost for a couple of days. Meanwhile 2 men accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up on the entire opposite side of the island and still made it back to camp within a day (it took 3-6 hours walk if I remember correctly). It all depends on if people are willing to swallow their pride, stepping back and addressing the situation logically. The woman survivalist expert was just as smart and well equipped as the male one. She was constantly giving the correct, most beneficial, and logical answers/actions but was constantly out voted or disregarded.
I think you are missing the point of this show in general. It has always been men's responsibility to go before the weaker people. To secure and set up a safe place for people to safely survive. The purpose is to show the with out the men who did that and still do it do not get the respect they deserve ( Just look how Vets are treated ) for doing the uncomfortable thing in life. Add to that now that in society is set up men have been en mass tossed aside and treated like 2nd class humans. Most invention were made to make Wives lives easier. The rubbing sticks together does create fire. They're using a bow drill to create friction and small embers. You add the embers to fine kindling and blow on it. That's what the guys were doing when she said his face was way too close. The bow drill takes effort to use and you can mess it up if not done right. As you noticed, they didn't have any kindling prepared which is necessary to make the fire. However, they did have all of the tool necessary. They really just needed to try harder to get the embers. Hitting rocks together won't make sparks. You need flint or quartz and steel. The steel is what makes the sparks. They all had training on how to do these things and they likely saw it done by an expert. But it seems they forgot the basics when they got to the island.

If they had then they would have known both the men and the women were trained and educated by a survival expert before even going to the island. Not only that but the women needed constant help from the actual film crew of the show for example the women were so terrible at even gathering food to eat that the crew gave them 2 pig's to eat but instead of killing and eating them the women chose to make them pets and keep starving. And the net wasn't given to the men, they found it on the island damaged and full of tears, they fixed it themselves and were allowed to use it since both groups could use anything they found on the island. And when it comes to these 2 saying they would be able to survive.....I'm not trying to be mean but I didn't get "I'm reliable in a survival situation" kind of vibes from them lmao

Each team had an accomplished survivalist, but the women’s survivalist got lost with the expedition team for like half the challenge, and when they returned, none of the women listened to her. And the men’s survivalist had to leave early on due to an injury. (The one with the camera is often the survivalist on this show) (Edit) also the men made their own fishing equipment from trash that washed up on the shore.
The women’s team decided to be vegan for the whole challenge cause they didn’t want to kill anything. After not eating for like 2 weeks straight, the crew gave them a few piglets but guess what they did, THEY KEPT THEM AS PETS!! the women even flagged down a fishing boat and begged them for food when they were threatened to be taken off the island due to malnutrition. (There’s also much better, and more informative, videos about this season out there.)
The guys elected leader and set up a hierarchy, each man with a task. First thing they did was locate a good spot, gather wood, keep it dry, get water and purify it. Could you watch the thing before having a woman moment blathering pulling stuff out your asses? What's funnier still is that years of collected data has shown that returning to traditional sex roles are even more present in societies that have gone more into establishing equality like Nordic countries like Sweden, Switzerland etc. And this is evidence gathered by sociologist that lean left(because most social sciences and academia actually, lean left. Not surprising if you see the actual state of the world and culture war) and they were astounded at these findings. Men go to dangerous or object related labor, high end jobs in finances or stuff that deal more with "things". While women in the majority go for more "social" type jobs like psychology, nurses, teachers etc stuff that deals with people.

This was a "lolz" edit from a men's channel. So there was no context or real point. I remember that "Think Before You Sleep" did more in depth 40 min video on this called "Survival: Men vs Women" that caused some controversy with a few commentary channels.
A few things; 1) the men struggled at first and had their emotional issues sorted pretty early on while the women actually had the better start but it got out of hand when they lost their fire the first time. 2) the women refused the help of their expert, who went off to do her own thing and was doing fine. 3) the women were given tons of help by the producers and men. 4) girl scouts do exist and for the last 15 or so years have begun incorporating the same things that boy scouts were already doing. 5) all contestants were forced to participate in a survival course before being let on the show and almost all of them were urban white collar workers.
i watched the un-edited version, trust me when i say it's nothing but lose's for the women and nothng but win's for the men the whole way through. the reason it's so heavily Edited is to Shorten it cause the original was over an hour long probably an hour and a half, Make it alittle more theatrical and entertaining, and to avoid Copy Right Strike's by the official Channel this aired on.

I want to believe in women, but they have failed me every single time. They led me to believe I could look up to them, but they don't uphold what they claim. The women in this show are no different. The traits that define women are the cause of their downfall. They were unable to respect their survival expert nor listen to her. They were unable to take accountability and can only rely on others to take the blame. Its the reason why they need men. Men need to be there to take accountability. They think they are above such things, but they always fall into the same patterns, and its always the men who need to improve and change.

I don't think the guys would have failed with an alpha male type or immature boy. At best the wannabe alpha would divide the group but they'd still cooperate when necessary. Maybe even merging into more of a council or grow hostile. In the case of an immature boy he'd quickly be silenced or ostracized. As y'all said guys have a better idea of what's necessary in survival and hunger is a pretty good motivator for showing your belly to the one catching food. Unless a guy steals or sabotages another I don't see them having much issue and if someone like that did show up the show would quickly be cancelled as the problem is dealt with. I think the problem with the girls is that too many of them were incapable or unwilling to get the important stuff done so the role of leader never naturally fell onto anyone like the guys. I'm not saying this is how all girls are I just think that whole group was poor. I think if they had one person willing and capable they'd do a lot better. Also don't rely on coconuts. They're natural laxatives and will dehydrate you. Maybe good for a quick boost but deadly to live on. Also if you want a real good survival show check out "Alone" or for something more entertaining "Dual Survival" and "Dude You're Screwed". Alone has many women survivalist that thrive on their own, DS and DYS are just ex military and survivalists putting themselves in survival situations real people almost died in except DS has their items and DYS has the bonus of wacky gear.
@404MariNotFound Alone is really good if you want to learn how to camp like a pro. They're all allowed to bring 10 items of their choosing but the objective is to outlast everyone else with no camera crew or anyone. It's been awhile since I watched it but I remember the big hurdle was surviving the winter. They'd go into the wild in fall but I think barely anyone made it over a hundred days.
They had one girl with experience, who was willing and capable and they ignored her. A lot of women don't like being told what to do by another woman, they all want to be a boss babe, but there can only be one boss, and if you're all women that means you'll have to be a subordinate babe, and they don't like that in general
They did this with the feminist to humble them. Feminist talk down and shit on men in first world countries, especially western countries, when men provide and do almost everything for them. Water u do need on the regular. Your body can handle starvation by using up body fat but u still need water to live. And for those who think drinking sea water is a good idea dont, just dont.
Perfect example: One lady on this show was so thirsty she drank dirty water that wasn't filtered or boiled. Within a couple of hours, her health had declined so much she had to be taken off the island and hospitalized.

This season is up on RUclips and having watched it, it’s pretty accurate. The women just blundered about getting weaker and weaker, losing weight from starvation despite crabs and snakes being everywhere. They eventually did kill a pig but they let it sit in their water container and it went bad without a fridge and they drank water from it and got sick and also ate some of the bad pork which got them sick. It would be an interesting watch for you. 13 episodes. Overall the men did much better. Men’s hobbies just align more with survival, plus we got denser bones, 25% more muscle mass, we are more built for this shit.
I really hate the fact the reactors just ignore the main details of the videos they react and instead just comments that it's just one sided and unfair. They aired this on live TV, so you think they would just leave them without any training or equipment? NO!!! They make sure the the odds are as fair as possible like for example, they are strangers, they don't have any prior training or experience, they are given a week of training and preparation from experts they hired, their is no favoured side regardless of race or gender, and lastly, THEY ARE TO NEVER JUMP IN UNLESS NEEDED!!! The women truly struggled that bad. It is not edited to just make women look bad so people can laugh and how silly they look through editing. They struggled so damn bad that they were literally dying. While the men actually could hav elived like that pretty much indefinitely. There are two seasons of this show and the women suffered like this both times. It was just a challange and the guys won both times.
@6:00 I believe it is the rule of 3s; 3 minutes without oxygen, 3 hours without shelter/of exposure, 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food They were weighing themselves because they had to keep track of their vital so if production knows if they need to pull someone for medical reasons. I only watched 6 episodes, 2 on my own and the first 6 on a react channel wanting to see how bias the women bad supercut was. Combine with Think before you sleep's breakdown of the season which is much more informative. My take is this supercut was made mostly because of how much they hyped up the women, because there has been other survival shows with women who failed or sucked at it and no one mentions them(There like three women from Naked and Afraid that comes to mind) even when the women were supposed to be experts. The men butted heads the first few days and over repairing the net, other than that it was them grinding away at improving their situation. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but they made it work. From the 3 episodes I saw following the women, their major flaw is constantly moving camps to new locations before getting stable. They made three camps within 12 days on the island/3 episodes, the first one was made because they wanted to stop on the first day to make something where they made a big mistake of splitting the group. The reason they split was one group was task to keep the fire going to move to the new camp. The search party after finding a place going to get the other got lost twice. While there was a water source for them nearby they decided to move from that camp because of a storm so they left it without being fully stocked on water. At the third camp, Bear had to step in to give the women a new bow drill to make fire otherwise the entire women's team would have been medically tapped. Most people believe the two piglets that appear at the second camp was from the production crew helping them out (mainly because wild animals with no fear of humans is sus on deserted island) though not mentioned in this super cut. While the women had a shaky food supply, they decided to adopt the piglets and give them food. They let the piglets go when moving to the third camp for them to follow the women where they do eventually kill and eat the piglets. They were given other handouts, but it wasn't shown in this supercut or the episodes I seen, but a "random" fisherman comes by the island and just gives them a large fish for free. Their team almost gets medically tapped off the island for dehydration twice, first time when they moved to the third camp and the second time was due to them throwing away one of their jerrycans because they thought the could store meat in it. Edit: There was an alpha male headbutting, but everyone who had that issue dropped out early(like the first two days) because they got in their feelings.
Sorry ladies but when it comes to surviving in the wild we men are more like gonna survive better. We grow up camping and hunting. Women generally do not. You do need men.

Most men don’t grow up learning this shit. Like very few boys go into Boy Scouts and girls have Girl Scouts where they learn survival skills too so it’s pretty much a moot point. The staff had made sure there is a fresh water source on the islands and enough animals for them to hunt and eat for the duration of the show. Also both groups had few days of survival training (fire making, first aid, water purification) and orientation (what is poisonous, dangerous animals) before being put there. I believe the nets were found on that beach by the men, which they fixed. Tons of bottles, ropes, broken nets and other garbage can be found on the beach pretty much everywhere. Crocodiles have strong bite force, but don't have strong muscles to open their mouths, so it's quite easy to keep them contained once you have their mouth wrapped closed. At one point the outside staff released two pigs near the women, so they wouldn't starve. Instead of eating them, they gave them names and kept them as pets.
As someone who's taking journalism as my course, a LOT of context was cut out by the "sigma male" edits which greatly affects the content. In this case though, more context does not help the women's team because of how they ostracized their survival expert(each team has one) and how used they are to modern civilization. I hate adhering to stereotypes but most men, if not all, have random interests and it's usually connected to survival(i.e. fishing, collecting random stuff labeled "I may have some use for this in the future", etc.) Great video nonetheless with valid opinions, just ignore the "alpha male" negative comments since most of them just want to watch content that're basically echo chambers.

If you give up and stop looking for opportunities, like the women did a lot, then you're as good as dead. Even if we're not taught these things we tend to pick up trivia and bits and pieces of survivalist skills just from idle interest. That, or if you grew up in the countryside, like I did, things like fishing and foraging and basic camping skills are considered basic life skills on the same level as cooking and cleaning. City boys inevitably fare worse than country boys do when it comes to these things. I was a massive bookworm of a nerd and still picked up some of these skills just because I lived in the countryside. I also always enjoyed cooking. Even more so when I'd caught or found the ingredients myself. Picking mushrooms and berries and catching herring and perch (or the odd trout, if I got lucky) was just part of the experience growing up. I didn't hunt, though. No one In our family had a hunting license and I didn't get one myself. So that would be a gap in my knowledge. I'll also freely admit that I'm not sure what to do without access to fresh water. As finding fresh water is fairly easy here in the nordics. You can pretty much just pick a direction and walk and you'll run into a lake or stream within a day or two.
The expert of the group decided to do things on her own at some point but even she alone couldn't help them its why they eventually teamed up with the guy group to survive.
1. Both teams had survival experts on their team. Women ignored theirs, claiming democracy, messing up every team exercise because of a lack of directions. The men chose a leader for every subject, depending on their professions (Survival guide called most shots. Builders decided how to build camp. Fisher decided who would fo fishing with him, etc) 2. The men built a much better water filtration system for themselves, thus had much better water than the women. 3. The men built a camp with sleeping paces for every member together. They worked together to finish one place after another. The women were so disorganiced, they only made one place and then slept comunally cause they could not get organised enough to build more. 4. It was the women who ate poison. They messed up meat storage and ate turned pig meat, causing the whole camp go get diarrhea. 5. The women were the first to get fire and managed so multiple times(props to them, they definitely outbeat the men on this), but failed to keep it safe multiple times. Men made fire ONCE and kept it safe, permanently (mostly because they knew if it went out they would be screwed). 6. The women were handed food. The men repaired a scavenged net from washed up trash, investing immense time and workforce into it, almost failing and costing them much more than they could afford. The women had similar opportunities but ignored them... Always 7. The women avoided the crocodile. The men literally went into the water with it to get it. Both teams were starved at the time. The difference is, the men made a call BECAUSE they were starved and saw it as their salvation. The women just... threw the opportunity away. 8. The TV-Crew literally had to tell the women what to do to avoid starvation, and they were gifted a whole fish by passing fishermen. The men were fine without any help. 9. The men did have worse compability with each other at first though. I remember two or maybe even three getting into such big arguments they quit the programm, simply because they could not stand remaining with the other men. As a result, however, the remaining ones worked together much better since they got rid of the conflict. The women in turn were more agreeable, but that turned out into another detriment, since they remained yet kept bickering and sabotaging each other. Honestly I don't know which team did worse or better in regard of argument solving. 10. The men took much more risks, but got better pay-offs, but also lost harder (one got injured and had to evacuate). The women played it safe, but it was like I was watching a group slowly, but surely, dying. Interesting social experiment.

While the men had thier fair shares of struggles at the start but after figuring out who was responsible for what kind of task, working together and selcting a Leader, they managed to get alot done. This was a survival challenge, and they did have first responders on standby. The net was found and they fixed it. The women actually got more help. If you look it up, first responders had to help the women multi times due to emergencies. They all start off with certain things. But, the guys knew how to use it and what to prioritize.

If I remember correctly from some comment on this video, the fishing net was damaged badly.
One of the guys wasted three or so days trying to fix it. Everybody on the team was discouraging him and judging for wasting time.
But in the end, the net was fixed. They got a lot of fish easy. And everyone apologized.

Each team had 1 nature expert/survivalist. The men upon landing immediately voted to put their expert in charge. The women spent the entire time ignoring theirs to the point that she got fed up with them and started doing her own thing.
So there are some things you should know about the show. Before they went to the island they were given 72 hours of intensive survival training. Both men and women. Each group had a survival expert and 2 medics or doctors. The men put that survivslidt in charge and listened to him. The women yapped and ignore her. Each team were given 2 metal water tanks for purifying water. The women left food in 1, which went rotten and they threw the tank into the ocean to get rid of it.Leading to the dehydration. Also in attempting to purify the water they left the screw cap on which lead to it expoding and injuring a member of the women's camp. The men captured and ate, fish, stingrays, snakes, crocodiles and shellfish. The women ate random coconuts, and after 3 weeks were given 2 domesticated pigs which were left tied up in a beach. Instead of eating them they gave them names and fed them and then released then. Instead of taking the 10k calories they contained. They were also given cans of beans and water by "random" fisherman.The women spent a large amount of time tanning and laying on the beach. Essentially, it is treating it like a holiday. And suffered the consequences of it.

What’s funny is that the women made a fire quickly on their first day on the island, but their fire went out afterwards and couldn’t light it again. So the production crew had to give out supplies to help them. While the men made their fire on their second day, but they had trouble for a few hours. So they borrowed some glasses from their team members and focus them on the sunlight to create heat and it worked. The guys created a shelter to cover the fire. Their fire was kept burning for six whole weeks!

Men don't like piss water. The men said water isn't an issue because the men filtered the water so that it became drinkable while the women just straight up drank dirty water. This is why leaders are important. Having someone to oversee and make sure that tasks are carried out means shit actually gets taken care of meaning the tribe (team) survives and their life is made easier as a result. That's why for the men it was like a vacation while it was hell on earth for the women. Keep in mind both teams go through weeks of training before going on the actual show. The women had the same training as the men however the men understood that in order to actually survive someone had to be the leader. A tribe with no leader dies because there is no structure to build off of. Everyone is just doing whatever they feel like doing instead of coming together and trying to survive.

The rubbing sticks together does create fire. They're using a bow drill to create friction and small embers. You add the embers to fine kindling and blow on it. That's what the guys were doing when she said his face was way too close. The bow drill takes effort to use and you can mess it up if not done right. As you noticed, they didn't have any kindling prepared which is necessary to make the fire. However, they did have all of the tool necessary. They really just needed to try harder to get the embers. Hitting rocks together won't make sparks. You need flint or quartz and steel. The steel is what makes the sparks.
They all had training on how to do these things and they likely saw it done by an expert. But it seems they forgot the basics when they got to the island.

A few things; 1) the men struggled at first and had their emotional issues sorted pretty early on while the women actually had the better start but it got out of hand when they lost their fire the first time. 2) the women refused the help of their expert, who went off to do her own thing and was doing fine. 3) the women were given tons of help by the producers and men. 4) girl scouts do exist and for the last 15 or so years have begun incorporating the same things that boy scouts were already doing. 5) all contestants were forced to participate in a survival course before being let on the show and almost all of them were urban white collar workers.

I want to believe in women, but they have failed me every single time. They led me to believe I could look up to them, but they don't uphold what they claim. The women in this show are no different. The traits that define women are the cause of their downfall. They were unable to respect their survival expert nor listen to her. They were unable to take accountability and can only rely on others to take the blame. Its the reason why they need men. Men need to be there to take accountability. They think they are above such things, but they always fall into the same patterns, and its always the men who need to improve and change.

I don't think the guys would have failed with an alpha male type or immature boy. At best the wannabe alpha would divide the group but they'd still cooperate when necessary. Maybe even merging into more of a council or grow hostile.
In the case of an immature boy he'd quickly be silenced or ostracized. As y'all said guys have a better idea of what's necessary in survival and hunger is a pretty good motivator for showing your belly to the one catching food. Unless a guy steals or sabotages another I don't see them having much issue and if someone like that did show up the show would quickly be cancelled as the problem is dealt with.
I think the problem with the girls is that too many of them were incapable or unwilling to get the important stuff done so the role of leader never naturally fell onto anyone like the guys. I'm not saying this is how all girls are I just think that whole group was poor. I think if they had one person willing and capable they'd do a lot better.
Also don't rely on coconuts. They're natural laxatives and will dehydrate you. Maybe good for a quick boost but deadly to live on. Also if you want a real good survival show check out "Alone" or for something more entertaining "Dual Survival" and "Dude You're Screwed". Alone has many women survivalist that thrive on their own, DS and DYS are just ex military and survivalists putting themselves in survival situations real people almost died in except DS has their items and DYS has the bonus of wacky gear.

They're all allowed to bring 10 items of their choosing but the objective is to outlast everyone else with no camera crew or anyone. It's been awhile since I watched it but I remember the big hurdle was surviving the winter. They'd go into the wild in fall but I think barely anyone made it over a hundred days.
They had one girl with experience, who was willing and capable and they ignored her. A lot of women don't like being told what to do by another woman, they all want to be a boss babe, but there can only be one boss, and if you're all women that means you'll have to be a subordinate babe, and they don't like that in general
The huys had 2 guyd competing at first and they left, unlike the boss gurl who stays and divided her camp. Even at failing, tbey fail harder

You can if you filter and boil it. The problem the women team faced is that they REFUSED to listen to their survival expert.
Perfect example: One lady on this show was so thirsty she drank dirty water that wasn't filtered or boiled. Within a couple of hours, her health had declined so much she had to be taken off the island and hospitalized.

This season is up on RUclips and having watched it, it’s pretty accurate. The women just blundered about getting weaker and weaker, losing weight from starvation despite crabs and snakes being everywhere. They eventually did kill a pig but they let it sit in their water container and it went bad without a fridge and they drank water from it and got sick and also ate some of the bad pork which got them sick. It would be an interesting watch for you. 13 episodes. Overall the men did much better. Men’s hobbies just align more with survival, plus we got denser bones, 25% more muscle mass, we are more built for this shit.

I really hate the fact the reactors just ignore the main details of the videos they react and instead just comments that it's just one sided and unfair. They aired this on live TV, so you think they would just leave them without any training or equipment? NO!!! They make sure the the odds are as fair as possible like for example, they are strangers, they don't have any prior training or experience, they are given a week of training and preparation from experts they hired, their is no favoured side regardless of race or gender, and lastly, THEY ARE TO NEVER JUMP IN UNLESS NEEDED!!! The women truly struggled that bad. It is not edited to just make women look bad so people can laugh and how silly they look through editing. They struggled so damn bad that they were literally dying. While the men actually could hav elived like that pretty much indefinitely.
There are two seasons of this show and the women suffered like this both times. It was just a challange and the guys won both times.

They were weighing themselves because they had to keep track of their vital so if production knows if they need to pull someone for medical reasons.
I only watched 6 episodes, 2 on my own and the first 6 on a react channel wanting to see how bias the women bad supercut was. Combine with Think before you sleep's breakdown of the season which is much more informative. My take is this supercut was made mostly because of how much they hyped up the women, because there has been other survival shows with women who failed or sucked at it and no one mentions them(There like three women from Naked and Afraid that comes to mind) even when the women were supposed to be experts.
The men butted heads the first few days and over repairing the net, other than that it was them grinding away at improving their situation. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but they made it work.
From the 3 episodes I saw following the women, their major flaw is constantly moving camps to new locations before getting stable. They made three camps within 12 days on the island/3 episodes, the first one was made because they wanted to stop on the first day to make something where they made a big mistake of splitting the group. The reason they split was one group was task to keep the fire going to move to the new camp. The search party after finding a place going to get the other got lost twice. While there was a water source for them nearby they decided to move from that camp because of a storm so they left it without being fully stocked on water. At the third camp, Bear had to step in to give the women a new bow drill to make fire otherwise the entire women's team would have been medically tapped. Most people believe the two piglets that appear at the second camp was from the production crew helping them out (mainly because wild animals with no fear of humans is sus on deserted island) though not mentioned in this super cut. While the women had a shaky food supply, they decided to adopt the piglets and give them food. They let the piglets go when moving to the third camp for them to follow the women where they do eventually kill and eat the piglets.
They were given other handouts, but it wasn't shown in this supercut or the episodes I seen, but a "random" fisherman comes by the island and just gives them a large fish for free. Their team almost gets medically tapped off the island for dehydration twice, first time when they moved to the third camp and the second time was due to them throwing away one of their jerrycans because they thought the could store meat in it.
Edit: There was an alpha male headbutting, but everyone who had that issue dropped out early(like the first two days) because they got in their feelings.

E: I believe both groups started with knives. jerrycan of water and cameras (with few select competitors being trained to use the cameras in each group). The staff had made sure there is a fresh water source on the islands and enough animals for them to hunt and eat for the duration of the show. Also both groups had few days of survival training (fire making, first aid, water purification) and orientation (what is poisonous, dangerous animals) before being put there.
I believe the nets were found on that beach by the men, which they fixed. Tons of bottles, ropes, broken nets and other garbage can be found on the beach pretty much everywhere. Crocodiles have strong bite force, but don't have strong muscles to open their mouths, so it's quite easy to keep them contained once you have their mouth wrapped closed. At one point the outside staff released two pigs near the women, so they wouldn't starve. Instead of eating them, they gave them names and kept them as pets.
As someone who's taking journalism as my course, a LOT of context was cut out by the "sigma male" edits which greatly affects the content. In this case though, more context does not help the women's team because of how they ostracized their survival expert(each team has one) and how used they are to modern civilization. I hate adhering to stereotypes but most men, if not all, have random interests and it's usually connected to survival(i.e. fishing, collecting random stuff labeled "I may have some use for this in the future", etc.)

The dudes found that net, it was broken, the entire group but one guy left it, the one guy got shit on for trying to fix the net and waste his time, they all apologized to him after realizing how effective it was
The women were all trying to be a leader, and they didn't want to hear anything from others, that disorganization drifted them apart
The women were actually helped a lot by production because they could actually die, but they ignored the help (2 live piglets were sent there as food, but they kept them as friends)

That, or if you grew up in the countryside, like I did, things like fishing and foraging and basic camping skills are considered basic life skills on the same level as cooking and cleaning.

I was a massive bookworm of a nerd and still picked up some of these skills just because I lived in the countryside.
I also always enjoyed cooking. Even more so when I'd caught or found the ingredients myself.
Picking mushrooms and berries and catching herring and perch (or the odd trout, if I got lucky) was just part of the experience growing up.
I didn't hunt, though. No one In our family had a hunting license and I didn't get one myself.
So that would be a gap in my knowledge. I'll also freely admit that I'm not sure what to do without access to fresh water.
As finding fresh water is fairly easy here in the nordics.
You can pretty much just pick a direction and walk and you'll run into a lake or stream within a day or two.
The expert of the group decided to do things on her own at some point but even she alone couldn't help them its why they eventually teamed up with the guy group to survive.
1. Both teams had survival experts on their team.
Women ignored theirs, claiming democracy, messing up every team exercise because of a lack of directions. The men chose a leader for every subject, depending on their professions (Survival guide called most shots. Builders decided how to build camp. Fisher decided who would fo fishing with him, etc)
2. The men built a much better water filtration system for themselves, thus had much better water than the women.
3. The men built a camp with sleeping paces for every member together. They worked together to finish one place after another. The women were so disorganiced, they only made one place and then slept comunally cause they could not get organised enough to build more.
4. It was the women who ate poison. They messed up meat storage and ate turned pig meat, causing the whole camp go get diarrhea.
5. The women were the first to get fire and managed so multiple times(props to them, they definitely outbeat the men on this), but failed to keep it safe multiple times. Men made fire ONCE and kept it safe, permanently (mostly because they knew if it went out they would be screwed).
6. The women were handed food. The men repaired a scavenged net from washed up trash, investing immense time and workforce into it, almost failing and costing them much more than they could afford. The women had similar opportunities but ignored them... Always
7. The women avoided the crocodile. The men literally went into the water with it to get it. Both teams were starved at the time. The difference is, the men made a call BECAUSE they were starved and saw it as their salvation. The women just... threw the opportunity away.
8. The TV-Crew literally had to tell the women what to do to avoid starvation, and they were gifted a whole fish by passing fishermen. The men were fine without any help.
9. The men did have worse compability with each other at first though. I remember two or maybe even three getting into such big arguments they quit the programm, simply because they could not stand remaining with the other men. As a result, however, the remaining ones worked together much better since they got rid of the conflict. The women in turn were more agreeable, but that turned out into another detriment, since they remained yet kept bickering and sabotaging each other. Honestly I don't know which team did worse or better in regard of argument solving.
10. The men took much more risks, but got better pay-offs, but also lost harder (one got injured and had to evacuate). The women played it safe, but it was like I was watching a group slowly, but surely, dying. Interesting social experiment.

Literally not a single guy I know would find it weird or unattractive. My Outdoor Club in high school was about half girls, and not a single guy had an issue with it. Can't say the same in reverse, though- half the guys quit by junior year because of the bullying from the chicks.

Sorry to break it took yall, but a net wouldve made no difference. If you rewatch the video, they got lost, couldnt find foor, their feet were starting to hurt, they were arguing. A net being used to get food is a goodd thing but what is the point when you cant get clean water. Dehydration cannot be fixed with "net".

This was a survival challenge, and they did have first responders on standby. The net was found and they fixed it. The women actually got more help. If you look it up, first responders had to help the women multi times due to emergencies. They all start off with certain things. But, the guys knew how to use it and what to prioritize.
